  1. That's pretty standard for any MS O/S though. Early adopters are the guinea pigs. They see all the teething issues, and are most vociferous about reporting them. Same thing back when win 10 first came out. Nothing new under the sun. I usually give a new MS O/S a couple years to iron out the bugs, before "upgrading".... and some, I will skip entirely. I ran windows XP LONG into the service life of win 7.... skipped Vista completely. Only upgraded to 10 because newer hardware doesn't support any older O/S. i agree win 10 will be the last i use for awhile also , i think ill skip win 11 and idk after that what theyll come out with might wait for it I was forced to use 10, as older O/S were no longer supported on new hardware. That will likely happen again......
  2. who says that ? i have already proven what you assume ? sounds not convincing. and i think at least 60% of the u.s. have a better clue of u.s. society than you. seems you are one of the incorrigible lonely western heroes with only two hobbies: playing ego shooters and playing with mass shooting capable weapons. i know that more lonely cowboys and ego shooter fans will tell the world here in this forum that the second amendment gives all(most) americans the guaranteed right until at least the year 3022 or whatever to defend themselves with weapons deadlier than machine guns and that you believe that most americans have your mind set. i can even tell you the names of them. thanks god this is just a forum otherwise trump would still be (the not elected) u.s. leader and the 6th of Jan. would probably be - in the meantime - a national festival to honor and to thank trump! if you allow to take all americans into account: i strongly doubt your claim reflects the wishes of the majority of the u.s. to get rid of this stupid mass of weapons and the related problems and it even seems you still haven't recognized this so far on your cowboy ranch. You are oh-so-concerned about 'scary' rifles, that you neglect to notice that there are NUMEROUS semi-auto, magazine fed, hunting rifles, that are larger caliber than your average AR- variant. Not to mention that ANY weapon is 'mass shooting capable', in fact, a significant percentage of mass-shooters use PISTOLS. Try not to pretend you have any understanding of american culture. You may have spent a bit of time here, but, you don't live here, you didn't grow up here, ALL of your views are colored by the bias inherent in those that grew up in a society where firearm ownership was heavily restricted. (most of Europe....) You make a lot of assumptions about me. So far, none of them have been correct. All you see is someone that supports gun ownership, and everything beyond that, is simply your own anti-gun bias. And then we have the whole statistics thing. If you bother to look, you are more likely to die in a mass shooting in friggin NORWAY, than you are in the US. Have a read here. US ranks number 11....... And how about the rest of gun deaths? Mass shooting account for a tiny minority of gun deaths. It's the inner city folks that are killing each other wholesale every day here in the US, but, no one seems to really care about that.
  3. Society is getting better? Wow. Not from where I am sitting. My personal observations tells me that we are declining, at an ever increasing pace. I think it really started gathering momentum with the "No Child Left Behind" program in education. Rewarding folks for failure?? Really? How is that in any way 'helpful'?? Then we get into the 'everyone wins, everyone gets a trophy', and 'you can't tell your children "no" because it may damage them psychologically', and then there is the whole 'government telling us how to raise/discipline our children' that has led to a couple generations of children with NO discipline. The entitled generation. Kids growing up with 'safe spaces', that no longer know how to handle conflict. We shelter our children, to 'protect' them, but, all we are accomplishing is producing adults that have no idea how to function in a world that works NOTHING like they have been raised to believe. We have done this to ourselves, and we are seeing the results of such social experiments in the news every day. I am not even going to bother engaging on the whole 'assault weapons' thing, as you have already proven you don't have a clue about guns, or american society.
  4. That used to be the ONLY way to install a large number of mods. :) Required a fair bit more knowledge then though. :)
  5. And the router is the direct portal to the internet??? You are in Hong Kong???
  6. Yeah, it's been 11 years since the last ES game, 7 for Fallout, we got a trailer for ES:6, but, that has been YEARS ago now, and noting since. IS Beth going to do another ES or Fallout game?? Sure doesn't look like it.
  7. Maybe you should state what your gig is about . . . cuz nobody really knows Start writing the game /// which is basically describing what the player will see . I expected a way to remove the empty spaces in open world games to compress the gameplay down. That is what my gig is about. And wondering how that could be achieved. Not gonna happen. You expect someone to redesign a game for you. Empty spaces in an open game world are usually not "empty" at all. In Horizon Zero Dawn you have monster encounters, resources, hidden treasures, side missions, merchants, lore bits etc. The same is true of Far Cry 6, but I could mention a few other ow games too. You have random encounters, resources, side missions, secret areas etc. Design of player progression in an open world game world takes these game elements (resources needed for crafting, xp gained in open world encounters/side quests etc.) into account. What would it take to castrate an open world game? Theoretically, it would be possible to create a hub somewhere near your first spawn point, with portals leading to each major and minor boss fights. Then the mod maker would need to disable cutscenes (I assume they are also a waste of time for you) or make them optional, rebalance progression, rebalance crafting, install chests or merchants in the hub that start offering the higher tier weapons at certain points, trainers that offer skills/spells/etc. depending on your level.... My bet is NOBODY will do that crap, especially not free. And if it's not free, expect a hefty price tag, because it's not a license plate replacer that even a noob modder can knock together in half an hour. My advice: try Monster Hunter World or Monster Hunter Rise. They are hub-based worlds, where you fast travel to your selected hunting grounds (these are relatively small areas). Whether the combat system and gear upgrade grind in those games are right up your alley is something you'll need to decide for yourself. monster encounters, resources, hidden treasures can be relocated and packed into more compact locations freeing up the empty space. Lore bits are just text. Can be accessed through the menu. Side missions fall into 1) Go there kill this 2) Go there collect this 3) Go there talk to this NPC Or any linear combination of the 3 above. Since we already put the collectables, enemies and NPCS into a compact area the side missions will be faster to do. Resources can be collected fine and better because it is more densely packed. Since the open spaces are removed the secret areas will be easy to access. The hub is a good start. All the NPCS can spawn in the hub to remove padding from side quests. Progression does not need rebalancing the portals leading to the boss fights will generate items and create progress that way. Someone will do it, because people can do incredible things if they try. Dont underestimate human will. So far as I have seen, no one has done it for any open world game I am aware of. And looking at beth games, if a mod of that nature HAD been done, the odds are REAL good it would be hosted here. But, there aren't any. I have seen a LOT of mods that ADD more/new space, but, not a single one that reduces it.
  8. Sorry, not great with networking stuff, but would I go about fixing this? Where is your machine at, and how does it connect to the internet?
  9. On everything except the screen, glass cleaner works pretty well. Not supposed to use that on the screen though, just a damp rag, with distilled water. Do not spray anything directly onto the screen though, spray it on your rag, and then gently wipe the screen.
  10. Ty, can u recommend me something ? How about this one ? https://www.emmi.rs/desktop-racunar-altos-tiger-cezan-i-ryzen-7-5700g-b550m-a-16-gb-512-gb-ssd-vega.html Still uses integrated graphics. You want something that has a discreet video card. I don't understand the language there, so, no real help on that site. :D
  11. At hop 3, you are hitting someones private network..... it is that network that is failing.
  12. Even in diplomacy, there is the implied threat of violence. Negotiate in good faith, or, we will simply enforce what we want, by force of arms. And of course, that assumes that both sides can find some common ground, to come to an agreement. Once that agreement is reached, both sides need to abide by it. If they don't, violence comes next.
  13. Wow. Now there is an interesting question.... I think it would be perfectly safe using voices that are already in-game... Using voices from another game may run afoul of various copyright laws. Or, if you have a friend that you like the sound of their voice, use theirs.
  14. Have wireless capability in your home? If so, just pick up a cheap wireless adapter. They can be had for around 30 bucks. Either that, or an add-on network card.
  15. What are the bluescreens whining about? If you don't know.... you can get NirSoft's Bluescreen View for free, download it, run it, and it will show you the errors. See what it has to say.
  16. King James version would likely be the easiest to read.
  17. Its entirely possible that the driver is increasing voltages/clock speeds to keep up with demand.....
  18. You have a mod problem. The red triangle is likely a missing mesh.....

  20. This is horribly off topic, but, ... Fighting and killing are a inbred characteristic of our nature as predators. We fight and kill just to survive. The problem changes when we start fighting and killing each other. There was an experiment done in the 1950s-1970s by John Calhoun where he attempted to determine the impact of population density on animal behavior. His results have become a standard on the interaction of animals under stress. So fighting and killing each other is an inbred characteristic of our nature. It just needs a trigger to set it off. And not very much of a trigger at that.....
  21. Shouldn't. A lot depends on the game, where it is installed, and what mod manager, if any... you are using. Aside from that, I haven't seen any real issues with gaming on Win 11.
  22. Maybe you should state what your gig is about . . . cuz nobody really knows Start writing the game /// which is basically describing what the player will see . I expected a way to remove the empty spaces in open world games to compress the gameplay down. That is what my gig is about. And wondering how that could be achieved. It's possible, but, you would essentially be re-doing the entire game. For one or two or even a dozen people, that would be a project that could take years...... and I doubt anyone is going to be interested in doing so.
  23. Make sure your antivirus isn't blocking it.
  24. I have made a BUNCH of changes to mine..... :) Not sure it would help you. Likely cause more issues than it solves. Try playing with these two settings. fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=3500.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=2000.0000
