Plugins disabled automatically ?

I understood from the beginning that the same guy that worked on MO2 is the same guy working on Vortex. I do think he is amazing to be able to do what he does (I could not do it) so kudos to him. I do like the concept of Vortex, what I don't like is (I think) trying to pass off problems that seems to be ongoing chalked up as "users doing something wrong". Just say yes there is a problem somewhere and we will eventually try to fix it. Now I need to go relax and play my awesome skyrim game with the best mods ever from the community, because I am not usually a confrontational person. Again I don't want to start a argument. I respect you HadToRegister (Beer Ambassador). Thank you for all your advice.

We are taking feedback seriously.

The problem with your and/or similar reports, however, is that we cannot replicate the problem.

You report plugins just get randomly disabled, despite you doing everything correctly. I am not doubting your words, I just have a hard time replicating the bug by following the correct procedure - or otherwise.

The more information you are able to provide, the more likely it is that we will be able to address this potential issue.

Sry guys my eng is rly bad. After updating vortex all my skyrim plugins were disabled and I could not turn them on. To fix it i did the following : Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs and from here search for "Launcher", then under "uLastAspectRatio" type this "bEnableFileSelection=1"

That's how it looks from me

[Launcher]
bShowAllResolutions=1
uLastAspectRatio=3
bEnableFileSelection=1
Hope this will be helpful

Could you please open another thread providing vital information as is outlined here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7332636-how-to-post-request-support-for-vortex/

As for your issue, you would first need to work out whether the plugins are actually being disabled, or whether they just appear disabled in the Vortex UI - big difference.

Digging-up bodies here, but I had Vortex disabling some of my mods and a few I couldn't even enable again. Until I set FNIS to NOT run on deployment event. Then plugins were no longer disabled and the ones I couldn't enable before were enableable again. Vortex is choking on FNIS a lot of the time. After install of FNIS I had been downloading mods for over two hours and all that time FNIS was busy running, probably checking if some animation mod it could tinker with was installed. So, maybe have someone look into how FNIS is integrated into Vortex and how FNIS should respond to newly installed mods.

It's also confusing at first that on the 'Mods' tab everything looks installed while on the plugins tab mods are disabled. It's a bit getting used to coming from NMM.

I also have "Run FNIS on Deployment even" turned off as well, and never experienced my plugins being disabled.

Hopefully we could get some feedback from others about that

It wasn't FNIS' doing. The thing I missed was that the FNIS app starts but it stayed in the back and I didn't see it and as such didn't run it and Vortex of course kept waiting. The deactivating is random and in my case happens only when I have sorted load order after solving a 'conflict' between mods that have identical files. After such an event, sorting automatically or manually deactivates a handful of mods that had conflicts before that were also solved already. I set the auto-sorting to manual for that reason (the deactivating of plugs). What's also unnerving is that Vortex activates plugs I deactivated when it does its manual or auto sorting. There's plugs I no longer need because of an AIO. I'll have to throw them in the bin and see what Vortex says.

Well, Vortex doesn't know how to handle separate All-In-One plugins that replace original plugs. I have all three of the Bijin mods for SSE and added the AIO plug but when I delete the original and replaced plugins, Vortex says the plugs are missing and wants to delete the associated mods. In other words, I have to keep the unneeded plugins in the data folder and deactivate them in Vortex, where they get reactivated every time Vortex sorts load order in any way.
