Fallout 4 can only be legally obtained from Steam. You can purchase the key from any vendor (including Bethesda.net) but it must be activated on Steam. Machine translation of the previous post. I will agree with you that the site search is lacking, it's something we're working on, but we obviously have an enormous database so designing an effective and scalable search is a challenge. Without sounding condescending, perhaps the reason you have problems navigating the site is because it's in English? I'd imagine machine translations Russian => English are as hit and miss and the reverse. You can actually download the main mod file from the description page with the download button on the right above the images. However, there's definitely value in the users reading the description of the file they're about to download. A lot of mods (even for Bethesda titles) aren't "plug and play" and require the information provided by the author to prevent missteps. Regarding the home screen. We've got some new designs in the works, but I would still say for most users, they'll want to chose the game(s) they are interested in before seeing the mods. Which is why the games list has priority. Nexus Mods isn't just a "File directory" remember, we're a modding community :) Regarding navigation, clicking the brand logo to return to the home page has been a fairly standard web practice for many years (at least on the site I've visited), is that not the case in your experience?

Unskipping video ads are a pretty gross practice and after seeing how bent out of shape a small (but vocal) number of users go after the download process was changed to include one extra click, I can't see that going down well at all. If you get slow speed to all of our CDN nodes (servers) it's unfortunately more likely to be a problem with your connection than with our servers. I would recommend contacting your ISP to troubleshooting further. If it works via a VPN that implies the route the traffic is taking from our server to your PC has a "weak link" somewhere.
