This isn't a problem with Vortex, your SKSE is likely to be set up incorrectly.

Skyrim SE Showing Saves from Wrong Profile
Pickysaurus replied to dreamlog's topic in Vortex Support
I didn't edit it or intend to edit it, but yeah I am seeing the wrong profile being pointed to there. How do I stop this from overriding Vortex? Delete the line? Yes, remove that line and the game should respect Vortex's settings again. -
Vortex worked perfectly yesterday and won't work today
Pickysaurus replied to MeltingData20's topic in Vortex Support
This issue is covered in detail in the pinned thread. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/12891273-common-solutions-megathread/&do=findComment&comment=124189977 -
Check that you haven't hidden the game in the "Games" tab. And check if the extension is properly enabled in the "Extensions" tab.
-
From the saved games tab in Vortex, double click your save and have a look if any plugins are missing from the list in the sidebar.
-
Either you've set that rule (or a Collection you installed did) which tells Vortex those two mods should not be loaded together. You need to either heed the warning and disable one of the mods or remove the rule.

Update: This issue should now be resolved. Please let us know if you're still having issues! We've had a few reports over the weekend of mod authors getting stuck on the following step while uploading a new file to their mod page. So far we've not been able to replicate it so we're unsure on the cause. If you're having this problem please can you confirm the following: What is the link to the mod page are you updating? How big is the new file? Which browser are you using? Add you using any browser addons? (Try the tips here)Try reloading the page and uploading the file again, did that work or did the same problem occur? Try reloading the page, renaming the file on your PC and upload it again, did that work or did the same problem occur?Answering these questions will help us narrow down if it's a problem on our side or something related to your setup. Hey there, It looks like you didn't complete the download tests. Please can you ensure the full test results are posted so we can review them?

As a general rule, we do not approve of "mod packs". In the File Submission Guidelines we say this: So, if your "modpack" presents no benefit to the community (other than a single download) we would prefer not to host it here. It's unfair on the original authors (even if they grant permission) to lose the exposure of their page and stat increases (downloads earn them Donation Points!) for a bundle that is nothing other than a combined ZIP. It's also quite low-effort on the pack creator's part in that they haven't really done anything significant to assemble to pack. If we (and the mod authors) did allow this, you could imagine the chaos of having 200 pages containing various combinations of existing mods and that would drown out any original content. These are some of the reasons why we created our Collections system the way we did. Most of the common questions are covered in the FAQ. You're welcome to create your "modpack" as a Collection, or even as a text-based list of mods to download (but that should not be posted as a mod page). If you do have the permission for all mods and it's "more than the sum of it's parts" then it may be valid to post as a compilation, but I'd recommend you stick to getting the files from the original source for the benefit of those who put their time into creating the mods in the first place.

Is it possible to use mods on this site for EPIC games? If so, how?
Pickysaurus replied to supashaka's topic in Site Support
If Vortex supports the game, it will generally detect it from all supported game stores. For games not supported by Vortex you'll need to ask on the mod page. -
vortex try to only run as admin windows 11
Pickysaurus replied to AtomicNail's topic in Vortex Support
If for some reason you've turned off User Account Control then all apps run as admin by default. -
Jedi Survivor - Multiple Profiles Not Working
Pickysaurus replied to RalinDrakus's topic in Vortex Support
Which mods are you using? If the mod actually directly edits the game files rather than just applies them to the game folder it won't work with profiles. -

Maybe you edited SkyrimCustom.ini which overrides Vortex's edits to the regular INIs? -
What happened to the sticky with the changelog?
Pickysaurus replied to showler's topic in Vortex Support
If you're interested you can already follow the repo on GitHub, but it's all source code and concept designs at the moment. -

What happened to the sticky with the changelog?
Pickysaurus replied to showler's topic in Vortex Support
More info will be available soon. I'll try and get my site news post finished, I'm just not super convinced on how much detail we should provide at this point because it is a long way off yet. Vortex isn't going anywhere, so don't worry about that. We will keep supporting it for a long time yet. -

Tannin moved on to a new company at the start of June. I was planning to do a post about it in the site news but I haven't got around to it yet. Insominous has taken over Vortex work while Halgari's team work on the new mod manager. -

Go to Extensions -> Find More and click the refresh icon at the bottom of the window if it doesn't update by itself.
-
This is a broken custom theme. Go to %appdata%\Vortex and delete anything theme related from the "plugins" folder.

Windows 7/8/8.1 - Vortex will not start up
Pickysaurus replied to Pickysaurus's topic in Vortex Support
It's some kind of built in feature so we can't easily see what it does "Under the hood". But it likely means something in your Windows install is borked up. Try installing any pending Windows Updates. -

Here's the link to the old thread. It won't be updated going forward though: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6360526-current-version-183/ -
Something on your PC is telling Vortex that you have an older version of Windows. Try doing any pending Windows Updates.

If Vortex can't "see" the SkyrimSE.exe file (after selecting the folder which contains it) then it means something on your PC has likely changed in regards to permissions.
