  1. Sounds cool, but wildly incompatible. Messing with loot tables, perks, etc. I like the idea, just try to keep compatibility to a maximum. Right now, I know of three mods I can't live without I would have to install to get the mod with all the features you described working.

Of coarse, you could try to make something like SkyRe, that replaces dozen of mods, but that's a HUGE undertaking. If you succeed, it will be amazing.

Honestly though, SkyRe, FrostFall, Realistic Needs and Diseases, etc. if combined right already do what you are wanting in general. My game is very hard at the moment. Just to start out on a new character I tackled a dwemer ruin, it took me about 3 hours, EXTREMELY strategic planning, dying about 20 times, and 90% of my good loot was alchemy related. In the end, I made it out of there with a few pieces of dwemer armor (boots and helmet) and was much more satisfying then vanilla!

  2. Really how much resources does it save to make something spin instead of leaving it exactly the same, yet stationary? I assumed the sun worked exactly like the moons, it just seems really silly to me to create something totally different for basically the exact same thing.
  3. Mods that edit NPCs are some of the single worst for causing random CTDs, glitches and weirdness, I NEVER touch NPC overhauls/editors due to this. I once had to do a a fresh install because I tried to use the Apachi Hair for NPCs mod.

Also, a LOT of things DON'T need to be loaded after SkyRe, if you don't know where something goes, by default, but it BEFORE SkyRe. I love SkyRe, and I'm use to balancing my game around it.

  4. Seriously? That's silly. You can't even see the spin with the vanilla sun, and this mod I'm working on works perfectly minus the spin, I was hoping there was a quick fix...

I do like the idea of using scripts to make things appear in the sky though! Could I do the same thing to cycle several moons through the sky each night? Like say, one each night, adn each night it;s a different one.

  5. I don't really get most of your post, maybe I'm just tired, but I could barely understand that...

I will EVENTUALLY be working on a project as part of More Alien Skyrim that lets you travel to one of Skyrim's moon , and battle the super-evolved dwemer, but I have a mile of red tape to get through with other modders before I can even try and start, not to mention I have several other parts of MAS to release before that.

  6. There is a mod that lets you shoot arrows and climb up the rope. I'm sure you could do something similar to climb anything you want. You wouldn't need to actually edit ANYTHING in game, just have a special arrow that you can shoot at an object that lets you climb it. Also, if the climbing forces first person, then no worries about animations.
  7. I've poked around with a lot of the sun values in game settings, but nothing seems to actually effect this. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the sun 'spins' with the character, making it IMPOSSIBLE to use any sun texture with detail.

I'm just curious if anyone knew of a work around for this. ^_^

  8. If you've ever replaced the sun.dds with something that isn't a perfectly featureless circle, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, then you may be a bit confused.

Put simply, the sun 'spins' with the character few, for no real reason. This really messes up a mod I am currently working on, and I have been trying to find a solution, but it's seemingly impossible.

Does anyone who knows more about the CK want to help me tackle this issue for my mod? credit will be given of coarse. ^_^

  9. Really, only you can answer that.

My personal favorite ENB/Lightening is all bundled up into one Mod, Superb ENB RL. I love the sound of candle smoke though.

Often, mixing mods does come out cooler, but over time, as both become more complex, discontinue support is a very likely possibility.

I'll look those mods up and tell you what I think though...

RLO seems cool, I'll see if I can download it, then tell you what I think.

Couldn't find the other one. =[

  10. Try setting iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=4000000000 (if you have at least 8 gigs of memory) Set it to HALF your RAM! I currently use the most taxing ENB and texture replacers with all kinds of INI setting tweaked to make the game load further, and still get 45~50 FPS on average thanks to this tweak!
  11. Does anyone at least know which file I need to edit to tweak the sun?

EDIT: Okay, I figured this s#*! out.

    Only one problem.

The sun spins with you, this makes anything but a totally blank, round sun texture VERY noticeably spin around in circles in the sky. Anyone know how to fix this?

  12. About ten minutes into trying out this mod, I just CTDed with no warning. I am using Superb ENB RL, could that have an effect?

I am using about 100 other mods with it, I cut out about 50. Nothing seems to be clashing, I didn't do anything special, I didn't lag, I was just walking in the woods, then from no where I was just looking at my desktop.

  13. While I agree this would be cool, Skyrim has almost no dremora encounters, this would probably be best combined with an oblivion-style mod, maybe letting you explore the daedric planes? I only know of two vanilla quests that have Dremora in them, and both of them only have two or three, so beyond having a 'warlord' for very high level characters, I don't really see where something like this would be worth it, just for a bit of spice up to a few daedra quests

  14. Boss ordered this list? RaceMenu general needs to be at the very bottom, no matter what, and WATER needs to be very close by. I have around 150 active ESPs, and RaceMenu has ALWAYS been at the bottom, and WATER very close by.

I know for a fact LunariRace.ESP needs to load BEFORE racemenu.esp

I could be wrong, because I don't have the mod, but you may not want to have ALL the BBL .esps active, most mods with several .esps only intend for one or a few to be used at any one time. I do not know anything about that mod specifically though, so I could be wrong.

Also, try getting and running 'TES5EDIT' it is good for a lot of things, but mostly at finding missing dependent files, because when you run it, it will automatically stop scanning your mods and report an error if you have a mod with missing dependents, (Which usually causes CTDs on load)

  15. phuse: I am using a pretty old version of SkyRe, (I dislike some of the updates) and I am not having the combat glitch, so I'm not sure if that's the case... I'll look into it though.

AH1: AFT is one of the newest mods I've installed, I'll look into it. I've had Wet and Cold since the day it came out, so I doubt it's causing it.

  16.

To be fair, Skyrim is the homeland of the human races (excluding the Reguards), so it's only natural that Skyrim won't feel so "alien" but akin to the Nordic folktale of all. What you call boring (de-boringizing?) I call immersive and atmospheric. But to each his own. Good luck in your endeavors, and I know there'll be folks that will enjoy this mod upon completion.

Oh, and please change your font. It's pretty damned hard to read.

Where humans lived they got rid of most of the weird stuff. Morrowind was a twisted volcanic wasteland, and the only reasons why the Dunmer are even living there is because their ancestors were convinced to move there by Daedric Princes. Anyone in their right mind would have stayed away that place. We have yet to see Summerset, Elsweyr and Black Marsh, perhaps those places would have the weird stuff you like

EDIT: Retracted comment cause I was rude. Sorry.

Sorry about my tone I was trying to get a message to those who want to wierdfy skyrim.

I understand if you don't like the idea of the mod, but there is no reason to try and convince other people to not like my mod, if someone likes they idea, they should download it, if they don't, they shouldn't, it's simple as that.

Anyways, I'm dealing with a... "difficult situation" at home right now, and I'm just being very moody, so I didn't mean to come off rude in the first place. x.x
