Installer? You only need like three files, (four if you run the CK).. they should be in your skyrim directory. Start the game by double clicking skse_loader.exe. I have no clue what the skyui error is about..... unless you have the game installed in some sub-directory of the Program Files directory. That upsets Windows. :)

That would make me sweet, and holy, right? :D

I picked up a GTX 1060 AC3, somethingorother 6gb vid card. I didn't want to have to worry about it for a while. :D

The 730 is a Fermi-based card, so any driver after March of this year won't work, since Fermi was EOL'd this April. And THAT clears up a LOT. THANK YOU very much. :)

I run into that regularly at work. Folks want a cheap graphics card, and we have some Nvidia GT 730's on the shelf. Most of the machines I deal with of late have been windows 10, and the ONLY way I can get drivers updated/installed, is via windows update. Doesn't matter which version of the Nvidia drivers I download from their website, it simply WON'T find compatible hardware. (even though it appears the O/S does indeed know what the card is.) I haven't dug too deeply into it as yet, as for the 730, I seriously doubt updating the drivers really makes any difference in any event.

Are you getting it from the source? (sliverlock.org?) If not, get it there. Are you getting an error when you try to run it? Could you be a bit more specific on 'doesn't work'? Which skyrim? Legendary? Or SE?

I'm Looking to Release a Large Quest/New Location Mod
HeyYou replied to TheCapitalist1987's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Post in the FO4 forums here somewhere..... not sure which forum would be best. The mod is likely relatively small? So, maybe you could email it to your testers? May also want to post over the the bethesda forums, asking for testers. Pretty active community there. -
As is mentioned above mods for the console systems are available at Bethesda.net only. Why? Because Bethesda wrote the rules that way. It is my understanding that the Nexus can not host console mods even if they wished to do so. There is nothing to be confused about. The Rabbit I think it was more Microsoft/Sony that demanded the controlled environment for mod hosting....

Adoption of more or different kids - PS4 Skyrim SE
HeyYou replied to RogueSheWolf's topic in Other Systems
There is the Hearthfires DLC, lets you build houses in a couple different locations. There are also mods that allow you to adopt more kids, but, I am not sure how they work.... -

HeyYou replied to Ripper673's topic in Other Systems
Post the pic. :) What platform? Have you looked thru the clothing mods already available here? Quite likely there will be something at least close to what you are looking for. :D -
Right. It doesn't work FOR YOU, so you immediately blame the mod. No attempt at any troubleshooting whatsoever, just a rude, yes, RUDE comment. And you wonder why you got blocked? Terribly sorry, this one is COMPLETELY on YOU. The system is working EXACTLY as designed.

Hey, if it works, RUN WITH IT! :D

Are you ready to have your taxes skyrocket so we can have 'universal health care' like 'everyone else'? If you go to a religious school, expect religious teachings. And that particular tidbit is a very tiny minority of even religious schools. The dems want the muslims to be able to maintain their own culture, as in, sharia law. Is that what you want here in the US? Personally, that doesn't sound like a very good idea to me. Oh, yeah, and we all know the dems have NEVER changed voting districts for their own benefit........ Steal SCOTUS seats? Seriously? If a SCOTUS judge retires while the republicans are in office, they get to pick his replacement. Same for the dems. How is that 'stealing'??? Also, I would much prefer a party that actually supports the constitution, and the bill of rights, rather than a party that thinks they 'know what's best' for everyone, and wants to legislate that we live how they dictate. Not to mention attempting to pass 'common sense' laws, that would have absolutely zero effect on the problem they are attempting to 'solve'. Slapping a pretty label on it does NOT make it accurate. Guns kill in the neighborhood of 30K people per year. Most of which are suicides. (and it also includes law enforcement related deaths. You know, cops shooting bad guys) Doctors kill 250,000, to 450,000 people per year, depending on whose statistics you look at. (and that is NOT talking about abortion.) There are several other "legal" items that cause more deaths than guns as well. Obesity, tobacco, alcohol. Yet we don't see the dems trying to ban those? Why is that? Minimum wage jobs are supposed to be 'entry level' positions. Jobs at Mcdonalds, etc, were NEVER meant to support a family. They were jobs for highschool kids. But, with the exporting of our manufacturing to third world countries, (thank you dems) we now have mostly adults doing those jobs. Then they whine and cry that they don't make enough money to live. (in places where the cost of living is relatively high as compared to the rest of the country in any event.) So, the 'city fathers' mandate a new minimum wage... and what happens? Those places of business can no longer afford their workers. So, they move elsewhere, or reduce their workforce, or automate those jobs, and now, NO ONE is getting paid anything to do them. Seattle is a fine example here. Los Angeles is working on becoming another one, along with New York. I would also point out, that even WITH all their gun laws, California STILL leads the nation in gun deaths. (homicides.) Last I checked, they were at around 1800 per year, next highest state was about 1200. How are those 'common sense' laws working out there? And oh, don't forget the 'gun free zones'....

HeyYou replied to caliman39's topic in Hardware and software discussion
Need to clean out the skyrim install folder, and the folder in 'my games' as well. (for a reinstall) There are a few scripts that are triggered at that point, but, I don't have a clue which ones, nor how to determine if they are causing the problem. Is there anything interesting in your papyrus log? (not that I would know what qualifies as 'interesting' there..... :) ) -
Well, you have to have posted on his mod page for him to be able to block you. What was your comment?

HeyYou replied to caliman39's topic in Hardware and software discussion
Hhhhmmm.... I've never had a problem with loading screens in the 32 bit flavors of the game..... Does the machine you run it on have any other oddities going on? Other games run fine? Are you running SKSE? (I recommend it, even if it's only for the memory patch available.) -
Mid term prospects are looking GREAT for Democrats, actually. The Reich-Wing is doing what they always do, gearing up to cheat during the midterms. They'll start carrying on about if any Democrat wins, they'll say the Russians interfered in the election. If their policies were popular they wouldn't have to rely on gerrymandering and voter ID laws that disenfranchise Minorities. The Republican party ceased being a political party when Reagan got into office and allowed Jerry Fallwell to turn it into a fundamentalist Religious party. The days of the Eisenhower Republicans are long gone, now they just cater to the Koch Brothers and try to implement the Government that the Koch brothers want. That's why McConnell has done NOTHING in his career except Obstruct and make sure our government doesn't work properly. When you get a Senator or Congressman, who, when taking office, takes an oath to "Uphold and protect the Constitution", then gives a speech to a lobbying group making a promise to make sure a newly elected President will be a "One Term President", you're NOT working in the government anymore, and you're not upholding and protecting the Constitution. If only the Republicans and Senators held Trump to the same standards they demanded from Obama, Trump would've been impeached last year. But instead they had their "fake outrage" over Obama for eight years, and are now apologists for whatever Trump does, that they used to accuse Obama of doing. Golf? They still insist Obama golfed more than Trump. Fox News was so petty they criticized Obama for putting mustard on his hamburger, and always referred to him as the "Anointed One", but treat Trump as the second coming of christ. Don't forget, the very first thing the Republican run Government did in January 2017, was to try and eliminate the Ethics Commission. That was a huge red flag. They've been waiting for 30 years to have all branches of the Government, and their strategy is to get into power and STAY in power, so I fear for the midterms and future elections. The political map was not as red when I was a kid, now it's nearly all red, and that's because Republicans get into the lower legislature and gerrymander the hell out of a state, and/or Strip the Governor (If Democrat) of his power (See North Carolina) Now they're stacking the Supreme court so that Gerrymandering cases will get thrown out, and this supreme court will only vote for far right issues for the next couple of generations. I certainly won't see a fair supreme court in my lifetime, McConnell made sure of that. Meanwhile Orrin Hatch has typical Republican Amnesia and attacks the Democrats for wanting to see more info on Trump's new SCOTUS pick, and claiming that the Republicans didn't do that to the Democrats, while completely forgetting about Merrick Garland, and how McConnell stole the SCOTUS seat. Republicans need to change their mascot from an Elephant to a Goldfish. Or maybe it's because the american public really doesn't care for democrat policies.........

Skyrim legendary, or SE? -
exe files are executable. If windows is asking what you want to do with it, and "run" isn't one of the options...... you have a file association problem.
-
What's the name of the file you downloaded, including the extension?
-
I assume you have the installation media???? If so, boot from that. Select "repair" instead of install, and then click on "command prompt" (I think it's under 'troubleshooting', or whathaveyou.) At the command prompt, figure out which drive your windows installation is on. (just type in "C:\" and hit enter to switch to C drive. then DIR 'enter' to see what's there. You are looking for the drive that has the windows directory on it. Once you find it, type in "C:\windows\system32" no quotes though. The command prompt should reflect that you are now in that directory. (be sure and use the correct drive letter for your windows installation.....) Once there, type in the following commands: copy utilman.exe utilman.bak copy cmd.exe utilman.exe confirm the overwrite. exit out, reboot back into your normal windows. When the login screen comes up, click on the 'accessibility options' button. It will open a command prompt...... :D in there type in: net user yourusername 1 you should see confirmation of the command. (yourusername is Your login name. if you just type in 'net user', it will list the accounts on the machine.) then just type in exit. you should now be able to click on your username, and your password is 1. You can change it to whatever you like once you get logged in. You will have to repeat the process to copy utilman.bak, utilman.exe, can't do it from within windows. It won't let you. :D
