  1. Well, they can't even make their own beds...... Driving nails? Notta chance. :D
  2. Well, I would point out, that even the crappy, ramshackle, wooden shacks will stop bullets/explosives..... :D
  3. See what background processes are running, kill off the ones ya don't need. Might also consider making an exclusion for the game folder in Defender.
  4. May want to uninstall Vortex, then reinstall, Windows knows where those folders are, but, Vortex doesn't. Reinstall *should* clue it in.
  5. Beth games have always been more about clock speed, than the number of cores. Even fallout 4, on it's 64 bit engine, barely makes use of two.... You will get better performance from a 3.0ghz dual core, than you will a 2.0ghz quad core.
  6. Cap your framerate at 60, does the problem go away?
  7. It will do all the mods you installed with Vortex, for that specific game/profile. If you have beth/steam mods in there as well, you will have to remove those manually.
  8. I love corvega. :) I run a mod that increases spawns, so, there are a LOT of raiders there. It's fun to get into the room with the narrow windows, near the main entrance, and start building a body pile at the other end of that corridor. :D
  9. If that's the problem, that mod should solve it.
  10. Turn off weapon debris in the FO4 Launcher. See if that solves it.
  11. Mod added..... I can't find which one though. Post your load list?
  12. I think frames in vendors is added by a mod... I don't recall seeing them in the vanilla game. Power armor is scattered about the wasteland.... some are hand place, and are a 'fixed' variety. Others are leveled, and get better as you do. (depending on when you show up in that area.) So far as I know, the power armor does NOT respawn... at least, not in my experience..... Some might... not like I visit those locations frequently though. :) I don't think I have ever collected 50 suits though...... not even partials. There is one suit by the hotel (with raiders) that doesn't seem to be collectable in my game..... I suspect that is a mod issue though, as the raiders don't use it either.
  13. The bashed patch will merge leveled lists. At least, those that aren't script injected..... A must if you are using multiple mods that affect the same lists.
  14. I suspect it has something to do with the 'save on game exit' mechanic, unfortunately, I have not found a way to turn that off. For me, sometimes, the game will exit cleanly, other times, it will sit at the 'saving game' screen for a bit, but, it finally does exit.... I have no idea what makes the difference there. I would LOVE to be able to just turn the feature off....... but, that just ain't an option.
  15. Ok, that's odd. That *should* work...... What antivirus ya runnin'?
  16. * loss of desktop transparencies There are alternatives for this. * Loss of various Win7 Ultimate features like * domain-features no longer included in non-professional versions of Win10/11. Why do you need these? * included deskstop games (like solitaire that I use while waiting for various activities) If you do an in-place upgrade, those games will still be there. If you do a fresh install, Windows 7 games for Windows 10 works great, and is easily available. * ability to control/select updates and when to install Yeah, this one is a sticky one, there are third-party apps that will deal with this though. * continuous uptime of over a month in Win7 Win 10/11 can manage this feat as well. * Windows Media Center (replaceable, but no longer builtin) In place upgrade won't affect this either. That said, there are better 3rd party apps out as viable alternatives. * lack of advertising that is built-in to Win10/11 I don't get advertising in Win 10. I don't log in with a microsoft account, and onedrive isn't running on my machine. * stability from not being used to test Beta updates (less of a problem w/Win10, now, but that's also scheduled for obsolescence). This is a non-issue. MS used to break win 7 fairly regularly with updates. It doesn't happen now, because win 7 ISN'T being updated...... * increased privacy by not having the cloud integrated, including a default MS account for login. As said above, you aren't required to have an MS account on 10 or 11. And you can still "upgrade" to 10 for free. I think. Not sure on 7 Ultimate.....
  17. Can't delete individual mods either. Welcome to Nexus.......
  18. As I understand it, you are only permitted one collection per Vortex Profile.... Could create a new profile, transfer the mods that you want to upload as a collection to that profile, then try and upload it?
  19. I've never tried Morrowind before, but you're making me want to. Basically our exact conclusion to the "Bethesda relies on the modding community" debate. Showler excellently summarized it as "benefits from =/= relies on". You are right, too, in that - Bethesda games sell well regardless of the modding community, but they do still benefit from the existence and popularity of mods. I highly recommend you at least try it. It's gotten dirt cheap over the years. :) The vanilla game IS dated, and looks it, but, there are a LOT of options out there to bring it up to more modern standards. Yep, beth is aware that PC players dislike their UI.... probably because, from my understanding, the games have been developed on XBox, so the UI is more geared to be simple, for use with a controller, not keyboard/mouse. One of the reasons UI mods are some of the first to come out. :D I don't expect beth to alter there patching strategy to help out modders either. They "support" mods, they don't prioritize mod makers/users. After all, while yes indeed, they ARE popular, we still represent a fraction of the game players. That, and I think better than 2/3rds of players are on console. That may change with Starfield, as it isn't being released on PlayStation at all this time around.... But, owned by Microsloth now, so, that's not really a surprise either.
