  1. Yeah, the build interface is 'clunky' at best...... Would love to see some improvements there. Or, maybe I just need to play with it more, and get 'used to it'.... or some such.

  4. You can also land....... Though I think it would be fun to have a chance that any of the ships you were in combat with also land, and send ground forces after you.
  5. The search by 'words' works still. At least, it did earlier today....
  6. Trying to search by category in Starfield mods doesn't return any results either. Doesn't matter which category. It tells me there are over 100 mods in the "settlement" category, but, when I click on it, zero results. Only filters are by category.
  7. Having to go find the beacon every time I want to enter build mode is a major pain. I am having trouble with the controls, and placing objects where I actually want them...... and find myself blowing myself out of build mode, when that is NOT what I wanted. Would be nice to just stab a key to bet BACK into build mode, rather than having to run back to beacon. Fallout 4 could manage it, why can't Starfield?

  10. I remember seeing that too..... I am unable to come up with it now though..... Even a thorough google search turns up NO results......
  11. I would be tempted to uninstall/delete the mods in question, then re-download and re-install. Check the archives, and make sure everything is there though...... (before installing.)
  12. Missing assets then. If the characters are there, it's at least partially loading..... Which strikes me is truly bizarre, usually, with vortex, it's an all or nothing affair.... it either works, or, it doesn't..... Check the mod deployment folder, verify that the correct files are in there, and the paths are correct.
  13. Are those mods actually functioning in-game? If they are, just save the game, exit, restart, load that save. Messages should be gone.
  14. That seems like a pretty serious oversight..... Considering NO WHERE is it mentioned anywhere I have seen.... (aside from this thread.....)
  15. You can still do the collection, you just need to download the mods individually. If there are a lot of 'em, yeah, that can be time consuming.
  16. That explains why I have such a hard time finding the beach...... Look at the 'map', if you can call it that.... and the flat area appears to the west, for instance. Seems I have been heading EAST instead of the direction I need to go. Which explains why I find the border of the cell, before I find the ocean....
  17. Do you already have those words? Running any mods that change shouts, or anything related to them?
  18. If you side with the crimson fleet, even if you are already a member of those factions, you should immediately be booted. Their goals simply are not compatible.... not to mention a serious violation of the oath(s) you took when you joined them. Of course, I don't think there has been anything of that nature since Morrowind. I don't think joining any faction in Oblivion, would bar you from joining, and becoming the leader... of any other faction... That never made sense to me.
  19. It occurs to me, that the scripting for 'companion ship(s)' is already in the game. It is possible to have two 'allies' fight with you in the vangaurd flight simulator..... It *should* be possible to 'adapt' that code to the "real world", outside the simulator. It is also likely it could be expanded to more than just two ships. I could see this becoming something akin to 'companion' scripts from previous games, the ability to assign them combat styles, etc. Having a 'wingman' to guard your six would be rather helpful in some situations.... Also, it is already possible to swap items between ships..... so, sharing inventories would be doable as well. Of course, this would only work for ships that accompanied the player..... and something would need to be set up for when the player lands somewhere. Do the other ships land as well? Wait in orbit? Configurable??? Landing together might be tricky, depending on location.... and size of accompanying ships. And this all REQUIRES the CK to make it happen.
  20. It isn't so much the 'procedurally generated' content that is the issue though. (at least, not in my observation) It's the small pool of POI's that is used to populate those worlds..... This leads to a repetitiveness (is that even a word?) that is just way to obvious. This is one of the things that I believe is going to be on of the largest categories of mods. New POI's to expand the pool. Even variations of current POI's, with different enemies, in different places, and different loot, would help. I could see an 'open planets' mod, to the extent that you could manually fly to any moon/planet in a system, without a loading screen..... But, I don't see being able to do much more than that to reduce loading screens..... Just won't work with this game engine.
  21. Nah, just make the 4TB drive one large partition. You can buy the drives with, or without, heatsinks. Given how thin that laptop is, I doubt there would be room for a heatsink. The manufacturer likely has some variety of heat absorbing pad that sits UNDER the drive, instead of wrapping it. My O/S drive does not have a heat sink. I have zero heat related issues with it, and it sits right above that toasty warm video card.

Well, it doesn't talk about an extra slot, but, looking at the pic you posted, it does indeed seem like there is room for two. if that is indeed the case, I would just pick up one of the Samsung Evo 980 4TB NVME fellers, and install that. Make it one big partition, and call it a day. Install all your games on that drive. No heat sink on the drive though, I suspect there won't be room.
