  1. One thing, you shouldnt have any trouble making money, just make sure to sell the right items to the right ppl to maximise this. Example, sell your simple swords and sheilds to a smith, sell foods to inns/alchemists and save the random stuff/magic stuff for riverwood trader and belethors goods and Risaad the khajiit. You might consider the Trade and Barter mod by Kryptopyr to enhance all this, and maybe Economy of Skyrim mod for realism. I always start the dlcs later on, but have never started them AFTER the main quest. As far as gfx, look up vividian enb, its the best. Especually with all weather mods added in. I believe they provide a nice list of textures etc to use. Off the top of my head i use Skyrim HD texture pack by Nebula01, SMIM and realistic water 2 with enb watercolor. I use a lot more, too many to list For mages, have a look at enchanting awakened or Wintermyst and maybe something like better magic rebalanced or TTRSO. PerMa is a big mid and requires a lot of time in patching other mods if you want to use a lot, TTRSO is nice and light weight. Id also highly recommend any of author Krypopyrs mods and also Cheskos Frostfall and Perseid9/Mofakin Realistic needs and diseases
  2. Welcome to nexus. Afe you able to look into the current attack on Skyrim nexus? Ive been offline since this morning, come back to find every time i click something im redirected and many keywords are showing up. Only happens on Skyrim nexus.
  3. What a year to be playing games! Glad this wasn't the year I missed....
  4. Its not something i have ever experienced, however I imagine that the console is tied to the engine and by this I think it only understands the qwerty kboard. I could be wrong but i would imagine this is the cause. If you havent tried it already, you might consider using a profiling app to force the keyboards azerty keys, this way maybe you can "trick" it into giving the correct keystrokes. Let me know if that works.
  5. In response to post #25904771. #25911555, #25926789 are all replies on the same post. Well I'm relieved if this is true. The uncertainty is killing me. But I can't help but think this is gonna be another x86 (32-bit), buggy-ass Gamebyro driven game, those graphics sure look like it maybe in DX10 or 11 (I think it's safe to say it won't be DX12 lol) but that might not mean much if it is on the same buggy crap we've been getting for years now. And I sincerely hope that it will be 3 times bigger than Skyrim mapwise :)
  6. In response to post #25824664. #25824914, #25825809, #25826019, #25826209 are all replies on the same post. Can you back that, Darkspazz, with say, some EVIDENCE :/ Back to the topic, I don't particularly feel comfortable with having a "gender change" at the end of the story, in fact if at all. I always play my character as "Trinity" from the Matrix, this would piss me off severely. And hopefully that woman from reddit isn't joking about a new engine + map size, let's hope it's moddable. With all this talk of cutting everything else, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. But then, they'd probably want to charge wouldn't they?
  7. Woohooo!! But IMO, It almost certainly looks like it's stilll on Gamebyro, or CreationByro or whatever they want to call it XD. DX11 looks tidy though :) Will be interesting to see, if it indeed is GB engine all spruced up, how far it has evolved, if that is at all possible.
  8. Found my love for New Vegas again :)

And lost it..... At least I modded it nicely this time. Big thanx to Marcurious for the custom ENB.
  9. I'm cut to pieces over this, and I'm deeply ashamed to say Bethesda has been my favorite gaming company for many years because of this. The system they are implementing for paid mods on Steam is broken in so many ways I could care less to mention, we all know it anyway. What bethesda should be doing, just to start, to justify selling the mods, is review themselves EVERY SINGLE mod and granting their own approval and RRP. My biggest concern is it will be entirely possible to buy broken content, and 24 hours is so not enough with such experimental content. But then can we trust them to do that, given modders had to fix so much of their own broken crap? And we could go on forever....... I still firmly believe that this is the worst thing to happen to this game, and they are going to lose so many players because of it. All in the name of money hidden under the excuse that "modders will get paid" (what a measly 25%? Bethesda, you make me sick). The end of this story is going to be very interesting.
  10. 2 years.... oh the updating....
  11. Hi all. I am having a weird problem in Both Oblivion and Skyrim where some textures appear to be oozing/moving/warping/sliding around on certain architecture like brick walls and stone paths. I am using ENB 119 for Skyrim (due to wanting hardware AA for best quality) and OBGE for Oblivion so I know that this mustn't be to do with either HOWEVER I only noticed this occurring in Skyrim after installing SMIM and Skyrim HD packs. Tried Project Parallax as well, same result. In Oblivion I use Qarls as standard. EDIT: Found out that this is definitely a bug with parallaxed textures, 1 or 2 ppl have mentioned on the net. ENB does not fix these issues. Neither 119 like i'm on now or 227 which I used for RealVision work either. If anyone comes across this page and knows of a definite fix or know more about this please post :) Cheers to anyone that can enlighten me on these things!
  12. Couldn't of asked for a better reply, cheers Jeir :). Yes the number of available mods for bodies is ridiculous, but then you could expect that with a game with a phenomenal amount of players XD. Everyone wants to claim some fame XD. Thanks for posting links for those two mods, personally after looking at the varieties available I just decided to leave it for now. Was very much juggling between yours and UNP, always used Dimons for Fallout, HGEC for OB now it's time to jump the fence again XD. See, I only just decided to play Skyrim, don't ask why but I was comparing a number of mods after I did my HD packages, must say yours has the best shape for sure and when those realistic textures get done (forget who was making it atm) it will be bangin. Glad to here that most suit the V3 body, I must have mixed up what you mentioned on your readme lol. Hey and kudos to ya for making that list of armors and stuff, very very handy. Wish could give more kudos for the body slide and for the body itself. So this auto-bodyslide thing, you mean it can process the armors to fit? I imagine in such case some armors might clip a bit but again I imagine that it must be dependent on the armor design? Or you mean like by using sliders you can adjust the armor? All sounds very good tho. Thanks again for them links, my mind is surely at ease now and I'm sure oldmate from the OP will be too :). Look forward to your updates.
  13. Into the wishful thinking category here, there are mods for other Beth games that allow for dynamic breast sizing however I'm not sure if the same system would apply for actually switching out the body meshes, and even then you would have to either attach a script to the armor in question, or perhaps there could be some sort of marker (like a prefix or suffix in certain forms etc) in code in each armor that a universal script could pick up on and switch the body over (likely SKSE will be needed). One thing that does get me about Skyrim is the wide variety of body mods in the "standard" category if you get my drift. Between Caliente's, UNP, UNPB (for the H cup loving strangers), veteran body etc, and 100's of armors between them, what a c*** of a decision to make. But in saying that, thanks to modders we have anything at all. I personally prefer UNP for standardization, but Calientes for the curvy body is just as great IMO although Calientes in itself has gotten a bit messy, now with v3 of it throwing all those old armors back out the door, the many of which were built on V2. So in short, Skyrims' body modding situation is a royal mess IMO. Basically comes down to preference. Give Caliente one thing tho, this "BodySlide" thing may have potential in anotehr fashion for doing what you say above (from what I know about it anyway could be wrong). Other than that, I don't imagine swapping bodies on the fly would be an easy thing to do, but then again, based on one theory above with scriptable interchange, it may well be possible, but that's just theory atm. I imagine there would be a number of glitches associated with such an idea anyway. Anyone that might be able to elaborate on this, please post :) Wouldn't mind such a thing myself.
  14. I'll assume you changed the default heap algorithm from 2 to 6- it's not even active for NV as it is not supported and heap replacement would not produce any benefit to NV at all really. If it wasn't the heap replacement you changed then i'll assume second it was the default mode for critical section manipulation, in which case it is defined for each of the tables individually in the INI anyway, so changing it to prioritize the main thread (setting 6) will only potentially produce improvement to FPS, at a cost in stability. NVSR is a handy tool for micro stutter, but it is not a miracle cure. The handiest part of it is the bFastExit setting, that is great. I assume you changed NVSR from the default 30FPS it's configured to by default. If you need help with performance, post the following: SPECS - CPU, HDD, RAM and GFX Card NV SETTINGS - All of them. LOAD ORDER - make sure you do LO last so I can see the info on top. Also post if you are running any custom changes to your GFX card. If you haven't got them already I recommend Game Companion and NV Configator. I'm a little lazy to post the link right now, should be easy to google :).
  15. Likely the effect is made in a package, and then activated through a script. Could be timed to appear like its in Sync with the step, by using an approximation of the intervals between steps he takes or even his exact movement speed. I'm could almost be sure that this effect is packaged with the vanilla game, perhaps he edited a bit to suit this fella (lol). Were you looking to make a mod out of this yourself?
  16. Ah well there you go. What would NV be like without NVSE lmao.
  17. FOMODS have a limit of 4GB per file so don't bother there. Best way you can back up the game is completely copy the NV folder, then take your saves and INI's outta My Documents, then paste em straight back in to your new PC after reinstalling NV from disc/steam. Now be careful with the INI files, because they will reset upon launch of the game. If you haven't made to many adjustments to the INI then essentially don't worry about this, just reactivate Archive Invalidation and use NV Configator to readjust your settings. The main settings in the INI that will be no good is the hardware related ones, assuming you're installing on a new machine. So in retrospect of this, simple copy and paste back up method is what works best. I do this myself and have successful reinstalled my modded setup through Sys-Prep reinstalls, to complete format/reinstall of Windows. Be sure to reinstall any programs you need after reinstalling NV, such as FNVedit, FOMM, Wrye etc etc. EDIT: Not sure if you're meaning you want to back up the game in a FOMOD, but as for the FOMOD packages for mods, just copy all over to FOMM's FOMOD directory, don't install them again for now, if your current modded setup is good then as I said, copy it straight over to the new install/PC.
  18. Here are some tips for your system: MAKE SURE YOUR SETTINGS ARE ULTRA! 1. Go find Game Companion, this is for Fake Fullscreen mode. 2. To get GameCompanion working, disable fullscreen and Vsync in NV. 3. Disable AA and Anistropic filtering in NV -AND YES, you can turn on Vsync in Nvidia CP, it won't hurt GC (doesn't on AMD anyway, and produces better frames). 4. Enable 4x SSAA in Nvidia CP, and 8x Anistropic Filtering. Set it to override all applications for now 5. Quickly check NVSR - make sure maxFPS is 60, make sure minimum is 10, but make sure bAllowSlow is 0. Also ensure bfastExit is 1. 6. Get NV Configator/Open it 7. Look for the Multi-threading settings. Try them all on. Include MT audio, this is in a separate area in Configator from the other MT settings. 8. Change Object LOD/Fade to 35000 and TreeLOD to 35000. 9. Set all the other fade settings to 12 (Object, item, NPC). 10. Make sure HDR and Bloom are not on at the same time. 11. Open up fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini. Whatever timescale you plan to use in game, i.e 5, change the following line to HALF your timescale: bLODfadeseconds (just press Ctrl+F in notepad, look for bLODfade) 12. Turn Max Decals down from 10 to 8. 13. Make sure use of Shader Model 3 is on. 14. Change shadow resolution to 1024 15. Set Max Shadows and Interiors and Exteriors to 3 and 5 respectively. 16. Set Water multi sampling to 2, down from 4. With Soft reflections enabled, it is useless at 4x. Now these are my recommended setting for that rig only. With that LO, your game should be running at 60FPS. Also I wonder if you are deliberately using that loadup of Project Nevada, because not all the files are there. There are 5/6 esp files needed. Now if you still experience lag, check for audio codecs on your system, such as FFDshow, and disable them whilst in NV at least. The biggest setting that are responsible for lag and stutter (like stutter you get when walking around the wastes outside) are the Object/Tree fade sliders. experiment with what works for you with these. The fade settings (ones that go to 15 by default max), can be left at 12. 15 might be too much for your 950. Also, the next best taxing thing is AA, surprisingly many have found the higher quality the method (i.e Multi sampling vs Super sampling) the better the performance. 2x SSAA override in your GPU CP will have a massive difference then 4x, as far as the eye can see with fps anyway. Personally I wouldn't play the game at less than 4x AA, but with my recommended settings 4x AA should be fine for you. make sure you set Game Companion to be run as administrator. You can do this by going to program Files after install, right clicking on GameCompanion.exe, select properties, and under "compatibilty" tab, make sure Run as admin is checked. I had problems with this not running as admin, so advise you do this. Then make sure you close and reopen GC. By default GC doesn't make a desktop shortcut, but will start on Windows boot, so it's best to create a shortcut while your there in Program Files. Please post back with our results :).
  19. Well idk about this bug, I use keyboard to play, but I would suggest doing what I mentioned if you can spare a key on your controller. Personally I have a Logitech G-19 keyboard so I could map the F5 key to one of my G-Buttons.
  20. I love it when someone says they prefer MGE visual mods rather than that crappy ENB, kudos for that Yarxov. I'll have a look at your setup and post my recommendations for you. Your system is okay, but I see that it won't run Ultra settings modded, but there are certain adjustments we can make in areas that will improve your game greatly. Also, being an open world RPG, don't expect perfect performance, sometimes you have to deal with a FPS drop, all you can do is make optimizations/sacrifices to a point you are happy. Not to mention the bloody stutter you get walking around the wasteland, exterior cells loading up on the fly is a *censored* for stuttering lol. EDIT: I understand Dizz saying that you need professional help, that load order needs help. I will post my recommendations shortly.
  21. Can you provide me with a link to the mods and a screenshot of veronica please?
  22. it should be in the main directory, as in Steamapps/common/FalloutNV, with the exe files. Glad you were able to figure it out .
  23. If it is a Logitech controller, download Gaming Software and assign one of your spare keys to the F5 button. For any controller other than Logitech, I recommend Xpadder, search it up on google. very easy fix :).
  24. Sounds like you need to run FOMM as administrator. The temp directory is set to "read-only" in Windows and requires admin level access to read/write to the directory, on most programs anyway.
  25. Do as I recommended and you will be fine. Yes A reinstall will delete all data in your Windows directories. Put the save games on a USB and put them back after wards.
