  1. I personally giggle every time I hear Barbas talk. The woman at Candlehearth hall has the same sort of accent, though, and it drives me bonkers. "Dis heah's Candlehahth Hall"... Makes me think of Singing In The Rain. "I can't styand eet!"
  2. Personally, my least favourite voice belongs to Ulfric Stormcloak (Vladimir Kulich). When he yells "WE NEED TO MOVE! NOW!", it sounds like he's doing a piss-poor Arnold Schwarzenegger...it's like Kulich has an accent that he sometimes forgets to stamp out for professionalism's sake. I don't really mind Farengar's voice, there's two other qualities about him that bug me. One is his dryness...it's as though he thinks he's above everyone else (leave the details to your betters, am I right?)...and the fact that he's a Nord with an Altmer name (though if he were raised by Altmer, it might explain his attitude). Esbern's voice irks me too. Max Von Syndow might be an award-winner, but this particular role won't win any awards from me. Here's a real kicker, since we're discussing voice actors - did y'all know that the guy who voices Paarthurnax (whose name escapes me atm) also voiced Mario in the Nintendo64-and-forwards Super Mario games? "It's-a me, Paarthurnax!"
  3. Yeahhhhhhh, sounds like a hack to me...and not just any ol' hacker, one who can reprogram Skyrim...reprogramming a game ain't so hard once you know how to code, but it sounds like whoever this is has definitely been targeting TESV players. That is, of course, assuming we're not being hardcore troll'd. That said, though, I definitely recommend formatting your hard drive and reinstalling your OS from scratch using the OS CD.
  4. Hrm...not sure how to go about that one...crossbows are automatically loaded every time you equip them...bows have to be loaded before each shot, so they come empty when you equip them, but...I'm not sure how one would go about that. Sounds like a script is necessary, and I don't know how to script at all.
  5. Okay, so, with a little digging and a lot of patience...there IS a "speed" aspect under Edit->Game Data tab. Try tooling around with that and see where it gets you :)
  6. I'm not 100% sure, but I think maybe weapon speed would have something to do with that...as a black powder rifle takes a long time to reload (wadding, powder, packing, *blows up in face* poor Sylvester)...I'll have a look at some of the DG content myself, and see what I can find for you.
  7. The armour in the "Cute Redguard Follower" mod is the Schwertleite set. It's an essential in my game. I don't know about the Laluna follower mod, I've never seen that armour. The Yumi follower appears to be wearing an alternate version of the female Ancient Nord armour.
  8. I don't usually put firearms in my game unless there's some sort of lore-incorporation to them...but these models look so nice, they're hard to pass up...could you perhaps come up with Dwemer versions? All you'd have to do is offer an alternate texture pack for them.
  9. Well, I don't have Fallout, but if it works like Skyrim, open your Steam folder (in Program Files (x86), usually), go to SteamApps, Common, and the game's main file should be right there.
  10. Wait for Skywind to come out and you can proceed with your wish as you see fit. Totally not going to work in the manner I intend. Skywind revisits the days of the Nerevarine prophecies. I'm looking to create a post-apocalyptic version...pretty much nothing from Skywind is going to be usable, except maybe the armour models, but even those are iffy, since Dragonborn shows a clear change in the stylings.
  11. While I was at work today, in a moment of boredom, I was stricken by a brilliant inspiration! Canonically speaking, in the time between the events of TES III: Morrowind and TES V: Skyrim, the island of Vvardenfell became a pretty much uninhabitable place. The Ministry of Truth crashed into Vivec City, Red Mountain buried most of the province in ash, and the Argonians claimed some of the southeastern portions for themselves, driving out the Dunmeri people that didn't flee during the eruption. I'm looking to put together a mod, a very big mod, that allows the Dragonborn to visit the ruins of Vvardenfell, drive out the Argonians, and oversee the rebuilding of the Dunmeri homeland. I know this is going to be extensive. I know this is going to take countless hours, lots of work, and lots of people. I personally cannot do much except for provide the story, quests, written dialogue, and so on. I have no 3D skills, no texturing skills, and absolutely no skill with the Creation Kit whatsoever. What I'm asking for is a team. Modelers, texture artists, scripters, voice actors, and Creation Kit architects. If anyone is interested, please post in this thread and I will provide more details. Thanks, J.
  12. Nah, it's installed to my main drive. I dunno what happened, I didn't change anything, and now it works as it's supposed to again. Guess Skyrim just had a 'Deherrrrrh" moment.
  13. Suddenly, I get nothing when I swing my weapon. Just the sound of the weapon itself hissing through the air. I also hear nothing when I take damage. Shouts still work, as does the panting sound when I run out of stamina.
  14. I both agree and disagree. Sure, it's a bit...bland...compared to the ornate workings of the Northern Dwemer, but there's an easy way to justify that - perhaps it came from the Vvardenfell Dwemer instead. Remember, in Morrowind, the animunculi weren't as decorated.
  15. Sort of a necro-bump here, but I imagine OP might be interested in this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35774/? One of my new essential Skyrim mods.
  16. I certainly hope so. I'd love to be able to use this with some of my SKSE-based mods, as it would make life a hell of a lot easier.
  17. http://0-media-cdn.foolz.us/ffuuka/board/tg/image/1336/21/1336214742232.jpg I absolutely must have this mod when it's ready. I'll even Beta-Test and give whatever info you want.
  18. So, basically, I have a few mod ideas that I'm curious about, and before requesting them somewhere, I'd like to see if they exist first. 1.) I'd like to be able to see my character's hair coming out of her helmet. I'm fairly certain mods like this exist, but I don't know how to go about looking for this. Right now, I'm sacrificing Armour Rating and perk bonuses for aesthetic purposes. 2.) Anyone remember "Stackable Oblivion"? The mod that allowed you to compound multiple pieces of identical armours into one well-buffed piece? Is there anything like this for Skyrim? Maybe one for weapons? - A note on this one: I know that using the Workbench/Grindstone do basically this, but I have one character who, by her backstory, has absolutely no idea what she'd even begin to do at a forge. Sure, there's a side quest for this ("Need any help around the forge?"), but again, she'd have no business doing that. 3.) Finally, I'm quite curious as to just how many anime & video game-based and -inspired mods are out there. If someone could compound a list for me, I could see which of the ones I'd like to see already exist. So yeah, if someone could get back with me on these items, it'd be really appreciated. Thanks!
  19. The name of the mod you're looking for is "Alternate Actors"
  20. There's a mod for Ichigo's Zangetsu from Bleach, Guts' Dragonslayer from Berserk, and Angeal Hewley's buster from Final Fantasy V: Crisis Core on the Nexus. Other than that, I'm not aware of any massive blades...I'll follow this topic though, because gigantic blades like that are my thing too.
  21. I work for Toyota...and that thought appalls me! :P
  22. Long story short, for some reason, when Deadly Mutilation uses one of its nice little brutal kills, a whole potluck of things happen at once. For example, I was wandering up to Bleak Falls Barrow for the umpteenth time yesterday, and bumped into those bandits at the little tower ruin. I slapped one over the head with my greatsword, and instead of JUST being cut in half...he caught fire AND got sliced in two. The sword is just a regular ol' steel greatsword, no fire enchantment. Later on, when I cut Arvel down from the spider webs, the killing blow after he turned on me caused him to burst into flames and become a charred corpse. Again, unenchanted weapon. The only other combat mods I use are Take Cover - Uniform Arrow Damage, and the Shout Leveling mod (if that actually even counts as a combat mod). Any idea what's going on here? It's not really gamebreaking, but it's immersion-breaking, as an unenchanted sword certainly isn't going to be burning anyone alive.
  23. Sounds like you've got too many chargen-related mods active. I run the Apachii SkyHair mod, and the Oblivion Hair Pack All-In-One, and I have this problem if I don't disable one or the other when I go to create a new character. What's happening is that the game is trying to pull up too much data when you go to the chargen menu.
  24. This is a pretty common problem, one that I'm also experiencing. I have no idea how to solve it.
