  1. Had a few ideas pop up while I was out with the in-laws earlier, figured I'd throw them out and see if they've been done or not. (Most of these are just to suit a few characters I have drafted up and can't complete yet, but I figure someone else may also be interested.) 1. Functioning wings. I know there are wing and flight mods out there, but I don't know that I've been able to find one that combines the two. I'd like to play a proper "fallen angel" type, and the ability to fly with wings would make it absolutely perfect. 2. Fewer Falmer in Dwemer ruins. I love Dwemer ruins, but the Falmer have just...junked them up. In Morrowind, I always cleared out a Dwemer ruin to live in, but it's so much harder in Skyrim due to all the eggs and Chaurus gunk. 3. More immersive drinking. I play World of Warcraft, and for those of you who don't play it as well, drinking has some funny effects on you. Vision blurs, your character meanders back and forth when you try to walk, and after just so many drinks, you vomit. Now, I don't necessarily want to see vomiting per se, but I believe it would be a lot of fun - and quite interesting - to stagger through Whiterun after a party at the Bannered Mare (or wherever ol' Sam happens to be). 4. On the subject of drinking, perhaps a change to the "wakeup" sequence after the drinking game. My particular idea here is to use the wakeup sequence from "With Friends Like These...". To avoid spoilers, I'll just leave that to the people who already have completed that quest. 5. Proper one-hand use of two-handed weapons. Perhaps a perk that allows you to swap over to one hand after your skill reaches a certain level? Obviously, it would require a certain level of strength and proficiency to use a weapon like that. Anyways, that's my idea dump for the day.
  2. As much as I enjoy the Legendary system, I believe this would be amazing. It's like a fellow I know IRL said at one point... "Now, I could pick that lock five seconds ago, how the hell could I have forgotten it that quickly...?"

  5. So, after several runs through Dawnguard on the Volkihar side, I'm finally ready to actually try siding with the Dawnguard themselves. But if I'm going to hunt vampires, I'm going to do it in style. I'm basically looking to emulate a combination of Hugh Jackman's rendition of Van Helsing, Alucard from the anime Hellsing, and D from Vampire Hunter D. Pretty classic look. I've looked around on the Nexus for "vampire hunter", but there's gotta be more stuff out there that I can't find. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it! :)
  6. I recently installed several custom races, including the Valkyrie, Ningheim, and Temptress races. I've noticed an error message coming from the Character Making Extender mod. When I pull up either a new game or an old save, the Character Making Extender mod ceases functionality. I lose most of the added sliders, as well as some of the changes made using the extender. Is this a conflict between the custom races and the extender, or is there something else going on?
  7. Then it's not that...I hope it's not one of the inactive files, because I share a Steam account with my wife, and those inactive files are mods she uses on her computer. I can't really get rid of those...she's not having the problem, so it's got to be something I downloaded from the Nexus.
  8. I don't know about New Vegas, but if it works like Skyrim, they'll only swap weapons if you give them something stronger than what they're already carrying. As I said, I don't know, I've not played NV enough yet. But it may be worth a try. I tried looking it up on the Nexus, can't seem to find it for New Vegas. I'll keep an eye out though.

  10. Try turning off "autosave on travel" and just saving it yourself before entering?

So, a little issue I've noticed lately...if an NPC happens to say something to me as I go into a door, then when I pop up in the next cell, they're there with me...and it's damn near impossible to get them OUT of that cell. Honestly, it's not such a big deal if a guard follows me into a shop. They oughta be posted indoors anyways. But, say, when a Solitude guard happens to follow me into the TARDIS...well, that's a pain. I usually have to use the console. If anyone can help me figure out why this is going on, I can probably hunt down a fix myself.
  12. I think this would be better if applied in a more "Saints' Row"-esque fashion...walk up to an NPC, make a rude gesture a few times, and then it's on. (great way to get away with shooting people in front of cops in that game btw)

  14. If you're talking about vanilla content, it can't be done...not legally. And uploading it anywhere would get you in trouble. HOWEVER - that said - if you can get a modder's permission to use their own custom content, it can't be too hard...perhaps DoubleBrewski could help you. He's uploaded DemonZariche's Crisis Core Buster Sword on the Nexus, I'd be willing to bet he knows.

Yeah, I -almost- downloaded the Hodor mod, because I thought it was going to be something entertaining, like maybe an expansion or something...then I realised it was a meme, and one that I'm not even familiar with...lol.   16. Following this thread. I'm running into a similar problem where my character gets stuck in the infamous "T-Pose" when I change what I'm doing. I'm using an animation replacer that switches the standard one-handed walking/running/sprinting/idle animations with something a little more on the badass side (le paron mein French). It's severely aggravating...and I really can't be bothered to try learning how to use FNIS, it confuses me.

Not a bump, just an update - I did indeed give "28 Days and a Bit" a try, and it seems incompatible with Open Cities Skyrim...I had to take the magic rock to the empty, hollowed-out interior version of Whiterun to start it, and after that, even though I'd chosen a "Patient Zero" scenario...there were easily thirty zombies waiting for me. They killed me, turned me, followed me back through the magic rock...not how I'd wanted to go about it.
  18. I would love to see this. I mean, arrow comes at you and you just swat it away like "nope!"...how awesome would that be? It'd open up a whole new play style.
  19. Followers -do- tend to get in the way a lot. I honestly avoid having a companion for that exact reason. However, removing collision from an NPC like that may cause problems with how they interact with the world and how the world interacts with them. I've turned collision off on NPCs and objects before, and...well...the world went wibbly-wobbly.
  20. Yeah, "Smelt Back" was the problem. Deleted the .esp, created a clean save, problem solved.
  21. I downloaded the missing master file. Didn't fix anything at all, really, except for meeting Supermodel Skyrim's requirements, which still didn't work. I did, however, run across a mod I had forgotten about. The "smelt back" mod affects the Smithing perk tree, so I'm pretty sure it affects the entire Smithing mechanic. I'm going to try a clean save without it and see how it works.

  24. I recently started watching the anime "High School of the Dead", and it made me realise something - I miss zombie apocalypse mods! Skyrim's "zombie" system doesn't work the same as the previous games, and in my opinion, the "zombies" are just too...complete. Too meaty, so to speak. I was wondering if someone out there could make an actual zombie apocalypse mod. Doesn't have to be in Winterhold, as the thread title says, I figured that was just good and catchy. Could be any town, could be all of Skyrim, etc., etc. I just wanna kill me some zombies! Of course, there's always the concepts of spreading the zombie-virus, barricading, supplies, survivors...but that's all stuff that I leave to the modder that decides to take this project up. And, of course, if there's already such a mod out there that I haven't been able to find yet, please direct me to it! EDIT: I just found "28 Days and a Bit 5" on the Nexus...seems to be more-or-less what I'm looking for, going to try it out, I'm just not sure about the "Left 4 Dead"-style mutated zombies...not really what I consider a *proper* zombie apocalypse.
