  1. Okay, so, basically, any time I smith an item, it shoots my Smithing skill up by like 30 points. Within just 3 items, I'm able to craft all the Dragon and Daedric items I want. Sounds like it'd be great, getting to skip the long, tedious grind of training...but I keep skipping lower levels, meaning that certain parts of Dawnguard start up within just a couple of hours of gameplay...of course, there's always the option of just not leveling up at all, and training up other skills in the mean time, but that means that when I finally do level up, my level will jump up that much higher. I've already gone through all the mods that I suspected, mods that directly affect skills and gameplay, and even starting from clean saves, I still have this problem. I can post my mod list if need be, I'd appreciate any help I can get!

  3. Yeahhhhh, my head is spinning after trying to read that...
  4. That's it spec-for-spec, save for the OS, which I have to assume was upgraded on the tail-end of Windows 7's lifespan. Yeah, I've pretty much figured out that I'm not going to be able to really enhance the graphics any further. At this point, I just want to maximise my poor little computer's performance as much as possible.
  5. Yeah, I don't believe in porting content directly. I mean, I won't lie, I've done it before, but I never posted it on any sites, it was just an experiment with downgrading from Oblivion to Morrowind. As far as the Predaking idea goes, I totally support that. But yeah, it's gonna take some doing, I know. I've tried my hand at 3D modelling before, it's just not for me. Anyhow, I hope someone picks up on this idea and gives it a shot!
  6. My most memorable was after installing the Dragon Combat Overhaul mod. Even on Novice difficulty, it was still stupidly hard, and I absolutely loved it.
  7. Okay, found it! It's an ASUS X401A1 notebook.
  8. You might be able to convert the file formats with Audacity, maybe...not sure, haven't really fooled with it for that purpose.
  9. Honestly, I couldn't tell you that. It was a Christmas gift, and already set up, so any paperwork that went with it is strangely absent. I dunno where I could find the model number via system/computer properties, and there's really no badges on the machine itself, aside from ASUS, Windows 8, and ALTEC (which I'm pretty sure is my wifi hardware). Where else might I look?
  10. I prefer it over "E-e-e-excuse me, I know you're the-the-the N-n-n-nerevarine..."
  11. I'm running Skyrim on an ASUS notebook with Windows 8 on it...I think you can probably figure out what's up there. Lol.
  12. That's what I was afraid of...lol. I'm trying my damnedest to maximise performance, figured I'd try every angle.
  13. I read somewhere that certain ENBs can actually up your performance...can someone direct me to a few of these?
  14. That is exactly my point though. Your scholar does not have access to the same tools and techniques that the dwemer did. It looks too new, too machined. There is no reason to get so defensive over constructive criticism. I clearly want to download it and use it but it looks too out of place. Out of place...? 90% of modded content is items, weapons, and armour that aren't a part of the Elder Scrolls universe in any way whatsoever. Besides, you sorta proved the mod author's intent with your statement - "does not have access too [etc]", "too new, too machined"...this would be the scholar's own attempt at a Dwemer item, not the rebuilding of an existing one. It wouldn't look like the Dw - Wait. Why am I even arguing this point? The ENTIRE point of people creating mods is to customise THEIR OWN game. Those who release mods on public sites just happen to think that someone else might like the same stuff they do. *le facepalm*
  15. I tried that mod once...it bogged my poor little computer down so horribly I could barely play the game...definitely need a higher-end machine! I did have a thought though. Maybe the same script that allows you to pick up dogs as followers could be used on a parrot? They'd have to be placed in safe areas, so as not to be slain by wildlife, and I insist that they be Essential, as the thought of a dead parrot, even a virtual one, is hard to even speak of.
  16. Well, long story short, I'd like to see a mod that adds parrots into Skyrim. AFAIK, the only way to do it would be to make them wildlife that was neither hostile nor scared, that you could just walk up on (since they're incredibly friendly IRL), or to replace the hawks that float around with parrots. Personally, I like the idea of having them as pets. I own five large parrots IRL, so of course that appeals to me. But I'm not sure how easy that would be... And if anyone's wondering what type of parrot...there are over 300 species thereof, so it's really more up to the modder's taste and ability.
  17. By all rights, you, as Dragonborn, are the rightful heir to the throne... But maybe that's got something to do with TES VI, eh? Spoilers, Doctor...spoilers. srslytho - I really do believe that Bethesda brought back the "Dragonborn" in V to show a return of the TRUE power of the Empire, as the last true Dragonborn died in the events of IV. My personal theory is that, since they hinted that the Sheogorath in Skyrim is actually the Champion of Cyrodiil from Oblivion...maybe in TES VI, the Emperor/Empress of Tamriel will be hinted at being the Dovahkiin from the events of TES V. But then, that's just my theory.
  18. As a general rule, most console commands that you enter will be reset to their default values when you restart your game. God Mode will be turned back off. Collision, if turned off, will be on again. So will AI and Combat AI. Anything you use the "disable" or "markfordelete" commands on will still be gone when you next fire up your game.
  19. I was going to suggest Fyr...though by the events of Skyrim, he's nowhere to be found, suggesting he went down with the rest of Vvardenfell when Red Mountain went BOOM. That said, if we go by current timeline in the TES universe...Master Neloth.
  20. The only thing I can suggest is to have enchanted ammunition with a custom mesh...
  21. Skyrim community hell, that's the entire world for you! Double standards...double standards everywhere.
  22. Thanks. Unfortunately. actually USING an enb was...well, quite frankly, it was almost lethal to my poor computer. But, at least now I know what to do when I get my gaming computer back up and running!
  23. Well, I installed an ENB the other day...and I have absolutely no idea how to get it working. I downloaded it from the Nexus, and just to clarify - I have NOT downloaded enbseries from the main site, as I got into a lovely little redirect loop the last time I tried to. Is there a particular keyboard command for activating it? Is it supposed to apply the changes automatically? Or do I need to go download enbseries off its site? If the latter is the case, can someone direct me to a direct download link for it? As I said, I got confused last time I tried.
