  1. Edit: It really bothers me when people compare aspects of what BGS is doing to Fable or another RPG. BGS is way better at making Lore and everything else. I remember when they said you could marry, people said Oh No, it is becoming like Fable. TES will never be Fable or be like it. TES is very unique compared to other RPG people say its like. (Some say it is based off of The Lord of the Rings, but that is incorrect BGS said they liked D&D and wanted to make a game but like it but it became something way different and unique.) Still it's like comparing Apples and Oranges they both are Fruits but they have their own unique Flavor.

Had to post this on a new post because errors kept appearing in the Text when I Edited and saved it.

  2. Lore wise it is possible. It is whatever BGS wants. If they wanted they could have Dovakhiin be Sheogorath. It's their game they decide how to do it. But that does not mean it will make sense or people will like it. About the High King thing if I remember one of the High Kings had the Voice. Heck Tiber Septim was a Dragonborn and he became the Emperor. Plus I'm sure if your character is as powerful as he seems to people then they could offer can offer protection (Bodyguards) but he might say no.Still for those who don't like the idea and it was real I'm sure with everything that's in Skyrim like you can be on the Rebel Side or the Empire side, I am sure that you can say no. As I said if this was true. We will have to see. I doubt BGS will say anything until a week before the game or not at all, because it will be a spoiler. They also said there are different ways to complete a quest. Who knows maybe only one path in the Main Quest leads to this. They said the Factions are mostly Linear but I can't remember if they said that about the Main Quest. If it was Linear it wouldn't make since since BGS said they you can side with the Legion, the Rebels, or no one. So I don't know. It shows that there is still a lot we don't know.
  3. I heard it was twenty races, i mean it'd be strange to just say 10, since morrowind it has just been 10.

It's eight....eight race: Altmer, Argonians, Bosmer, Bretons, Dunmer, Imperials, Kajjit and Nords and thats it.

? There's ten you forgot 2. The Orcs and Redguard. Lore speaking there is over 20 though.

  4. Talked to my friend who went to QuakeCon and he agrees that you will most likely be High King. Even though he is a Console ES guy he knows his stuff. Well Daggerfall and Arena he played on PC as they are only on PC. He said for a DLC what would be nice is the three-way war between the Vampires the Werewolves and the Wereboar that is in the Lore. I personally want a Post-Main Quest DLC that will improve upon the game and other things (Like the Spear) not just talking about that stuff too but a new threat arises or something (Like Lorkhan is back in spirit has turned evil and wants to possess someone strong and of course more Lore on Lorkhan we have very little that was an example of course.) I love TES lore it is very interesting.. Still after the 30 Hour Main Quest I should get to be the High King lol.
  5. so is it confirmed we will be able to be a king in skyrim?

Not at all, it might be in, we will see. If you remember right I think Todd said something special is after the Main Quest (But he's not talking about it. He loves to say that lol. Still I would rather get Spoilers aside, as this is not a spoiler only a hypothesis. Don't want to hear say the end of so and so quest.) and what that menu lead me to believe is you will become High King. I mean seriously who would fit it better than you? Since your the Dragonborn.

  6. If they do let you become king of skyrim at the end, I seriously hope they don't do it like Oblivion. "Congratulations! You're now the king! Now just stare at your tiny little bedroom you get as a reward and continue crawling around through caves while your trusted advisers do all the ruling for you."

Unfortunately that's going to happen. You won't see anything like Real Time Settler - New Wave in Skyrim where you get to lead, micro-manage, and have huge wars.

Well, obviously we won't be able to declare war, send out battalions or dramatically affect the economy all on the seat of our throne. But, at the very least, basic recognition, from ANYONE that you are the King of Skyrim would be nice. A few extra dialogue options for a choice number of NPCs at least.

This was a big issue in Oblivion. Once you got to the head of any faction, no-one except those who were actually in it cared at all.

ME: "I'm the head of the mages guild."

    GUARD: "State your business, citizen"

    ME: "That's it... Really?"

GUARD: "Have you heard about the Emperor's death?..."

    ME: *sigh*

    For me it was

    Me: Archmage as you know.

Guard: "So you are the Arcane University's newest recruit? Welcome (Along the lines of that)

    So on and so on.

  7. I thought it was stupid in Oblivion when you become the Champion of Cyrodiil you have the ability to control guards according to lore. At least I hope in Skyrim you can adjust things if you become High King. What I'm saying is control guards, control taxes, and get income, maybe adjusting your Castle to your preference, be able to get away with crimes easier or something (Shivering Iles had this but it was flawed whereas the Golden Saints and Dark Seducers wouldn't pay your fine right away.) I do remember them saying they have made the Faction Quests a lot more rewarding in Skyrim especially when you become the leader of said faction you get a lot more benefits and other stuff. Zaldir can correct me if he wants. I do believe your character might still be alive being Sheogorath and all. Unless the old one came back or something. No once knows but your character seemed to be the only one not affected by madness. When you become Sheogorath you still did not do it but you understood the mad (Engine or Developer permitting could be why you couldn't be like the "old" Sheogorath. The whole post-Shivering Iles is a mystery we can only hope BGS tells us what happens after post-Shivering Iles or something of the matter, I am aching to know what happens to your character does he/she die or live on as Sheogorath or something.) Not doubt there will be books about Oblivion Lore and such in Skyrim, Daggerfall had Arena's, Morrowind had Daggerfall, Oblivion had Morrowind's so we will definitely see it in. Still I did notice that in the Quakecon Demo "The Real Barenziah" was V3. In Oblivion and Morrowind it was V2. So did it go back to being uncensored or what? So maybe you will meet your old character in the form of Sheogorath or not as previously stated.

M'aiq the Liar would be dead unless he took on being a Lich. That or he might of had children and one of them are the new him. Or he might not be in at all.

If Mehrunes Razor comes back I hope it will be in Vanilla Skyrim I don't want a 500MB or so DLC to be just for that or if it is in one of the DLC it would be a side item. Speaking of DLC it might be possible they will put Spears in the DLC. Not saying they will but they don't have the time now but they maybe will when making the DLC's to put in the Spears and the animations and such.

Finally the Australian CE thing being sold out. Is Skyrim really popular there? Or did they not have very many copies? Makes me wonder though they said the CE is in very limited quantities. Luckily I already upgraded it, pre-ordered Rage, pre-ordered Saints Row 3 and upgraded it and a few others I can't remember though still the Character Generation itself will beat a lot of games coming out this year, lol.

    Sorry for the rambling. :)

  8. Why do I get the feeling you become the High King after beating the Main Quest. If you watched the Quakecon Demo in one of the menus it says the Counts or whatever you call them (Sorry been playing Oblivion to long and not keeping up on Skyrim.) Elect a High King after the other one dies. I still don't remember how it's worded but I still have the feeling you have the choice to become High King. I guess after many beating the Main Quest people got sick of what they got. So BGS did this. In my opinion at least. That is if it's true.

I think they are Earls in Skyrim

Yeah I think that is it. But does anyone agree?

  10. Friend talked to a BGS employee and asked about how old the demo was at QuakeCon. He said the Demo was the same one they showed Gameinformer in December. They just update it with stuff that the people want to see and don't put in everything. (For many reasons a lot on the real game is still being optimized.) For example Marriage is not in that Demo at all. The "Full game" (though not full yet) of Skyrim is seperate from the Demo and had a lot more stuff than the Demo. The Full game they said didn't have scripted Dragons appearing when you attack the mammoths. It's random every time you do that. But at least that is what my friend told me.
  11. The only Fantasy game I know that looks like that more over is Daggerfall and the others but less resemblance. And Scrolls is not a very common part of a game name. I have already seen many "uneducated" people think this is another TES like on the Iphone or something. It can be confused.

Also I play Minecraft so I like Mojang AB. To be honest I think it would be better for Bethesda to buy them out. Only reason I say this is to get the money they need better. And for Bethesda owned Arkane Studios and such they don't tell them what to do they just give them the money to do it. Unlike EA and Activision which does the opposite.

  12. Actually the picture of the game menus and interface among others resemble all TES games. Look it up. Plus Bethesda and Zenimax isn't responding because they are at Quakecon. They have been at Quakecon even before the letter was sent. Go to Gameinformer and read the same post the in-game picture resembles TES greatly.
  13. @IndorilTheGreat

I doubt it they closed the store for half a year in 2008. Nothing was updated. I couldn't get the Fighter's Stronghold at all. They might be updating the background however or other miscellaneous things.

  14. I am pretty sure it is going to be Steam only. Main reason I said that is because Gstaff said they are not using G4WL anymore and Steam is the only other option mainly because Todd Howard likes Steam, a lot.

Edit: There is tons of proof that Todd Howard likes Steam all over the internet. He even told PSM that he liked it and wishes the "automatic update" Would be on PS3 or something I forget but it is in the last page of the Skyrim PSM just letting everyone know.

  15. Hopefully my Credit card isn't stolen. That or there will be in-store cards to put on your D3 bank. Never played D3 the only MMO I tried and liked was Perfect World. Speaking of that SWKOR looks good, friend bought the $140 Collectors edition. It has unique features like a "Premium Shop" with items only those who bought the Collectors edition can get. For me I would rather wait to see D3 reviews and how good Blizzards changes work. For me I like to criticize after the game is out. For example Skyrim has only 3 attributes from the 8. Some say it's dumbing the game down and is beyond stupid. But companies 'usually' has good reasons for doing such things. As I said I will wait to criticize later. It might actually turn out to be good you never know.
  16. A mod will definitively get more perks. I will wonder how the Fallout approach will work, level to max level then reset to level one to get more perks. But I'm probably going to going to be a Warrior but have magick as well similar to the Battlemage.
