Hate that guy, just sayin'.

I now hate myself for bringing it up then. My apologies in advance to the users this may effect.

And thanks to @showler. That's what I was missing and obviously hadn't considered.

I'm late but my favorite is "Reason: Sending an abusive PM to an admin is the fastest way to get banned." The message was probably addressed to Pickysaurus, since he wrote that topic.

Yeah, that's kind of like going into your boss' office and telling him off. You're sure to get fired. Not the most diplomatic approach, to say the least.

In that vein, there was a time a spammer quoted Pickysaurus in their spam post.  Pickysaurus caught that one so quick, I didn't even have time to report the spam when I saw it.* 🤣

As I said in a PM (titled "Did a spammer REALLY just respond to YOU?"):

Of all the people they quote, they pick a forum moderator... *smh*

* I tried to report it while Pickysaurus was already hiding it, and got a "you don't have permission" error.

Telling off your boss can sure feel pretty rewarding sometimes, especially if you've got nothing left to lost at your job.

I'm fine for people to tell me off if I did something wrong. However, a lot of these knuckleheads post things like this:

@Pickysaurus I'm sorry. You don't deserve that at all. Those of us who were there at the inception of the web never ever thought it would become the monster it has. But it has and it grieves me that so many people are so incredibly nasty. We really thought it would be liberating. It would allow people to share - just as it did at first. We never saw any of this coming -  nastiness, the advertising, the greed, the pornography, the ranting, the deception, the maliciousness... I could go on with my list of disappointments. Actually, if I had to do that positive and negative list I just hope I could still come up with more positives...

If not liberating then certainly revealing. Before the internet, had you any idea how many sick, stupid and demented people there were? I mean, if you'd been watching the news or following world events up until that point, you had what you thought was a fair assumption. But for every one of those news worthy sickos there's 1000 internet counterparts or more. And we're reading their thoughts! So, I say we need to start putting some faces to these folks. That way, we can identify and avoid them in public. And make them wear a sign that states, 'I AM A BAD HUMAN.' with a sad face logo.
