Not sure if it's actually a bug or what, but since a few days, nexusmods refreshes the pages I'm on constantly, lagging out my browser. When I have several tabs with mods open (as you do when looking for new stuff), it makes my browser reaaaalllly slow. Also, while the page is refreshing, I can only sometimes get a click to go through, which is annoying. It then stays for a couple of seconds, then reloads again.

Using Firefox on Win10 with a fairly powerful pc, also this is the only site I have this issue with. Ususally my browser can handle things like 20-30 open tabs, but something more than three nmm modpages and everything gets laggy. I also googled for this, but found nothing recent for Firefox. Any suggestions?

Edit: The problem does not exist with Safari on iOS, but that's hardly a solution. does no one know anything about this or has the same issue?

Just trying to get someone to notice me since it's not getting any better. Why are the pages constantly and autonomously refreshing?

It must be something on your end, since you are the only one complaining. I have no problem with either Chrome or IE on my Lite-Brite.

Er I am noticing every other time I check on my mod and change stuff and check posts the view count goes up, I kinda noticed it before on my FO3 one I took down but dose it go up when you view or refresh the url? If it dose I need to aim my link elsewhere since I have to loaded when I bring up my browser, ect.

Well, good for Chrome and IE. As I said, I use Firefox. It might well be the latest Firefox update, I can't be the only one here who uses it. The thing is that I changed nothing apart from updating my browser and Nexus is the only site that's affected. That mykes me think it might have something to do with specifically Nexus.

Firefox version is 52.0.1 32bit on a Win10 pc. Can someone who uses the same tell me if they experience constant site refreshing ob the Nexus mod pages (not in the forums) or if I am indeed the only one?

I use FF (v52.0.1) and don't have this issue. Very occasionally I've seen it happen when the page I'm viewing has embedded, externally hosted, content (usually a youtube clip) that has problems.

I doubt that anyone on the Nexus uses a 32 bit browser as they all most likely have a modern enough PC to require a 64 bit browser. Personally, I use Chrome, IE, Firefox and Opera, none of them have an issue and they are all 64 bit.

Why are all the nexus download sites (every site except the Forum) no longer secure? I noticed this last week, instead of the URL field for any game download site has no green shield or https://

When I try to login the pw field warns that if I complete the login my pwrd will be visable

Almost all users of the Nexus use a 32-bit browser, regardless of the bit-edness of their OS.

Easy check: On a 64-bit Windows rig, look for the browser's executable file. If it's under "\Program Files", it's the 64-bit version. But if it's under "\Program Files (x86)", it's the 32-bit version.

With the exception of Edge on a 64-bit Win10 rig, 64-bit browsers require a deliberate manual download and install. Their defaults are all the 32-bit versions. (BTW: The 64-bit version of Opera is still "experimental", and has been for over a year. It is almost impossible to find.)

User ignorance is not my concern here. I personally am not any sort of 'expert' on browsers, but Chrome defaults to 64 bit for me, as does FF. I also use Windows 7, and I get the same defaults served up as I do for 10. In fact, I was doing a bit of browser comparisons for my own purposes recently, and checked out many browsers. If they did NOT serve me 64 bit versions, they were on the 'do not test' list. I think from memory that I ended up with a list of ~seven to test. As to how hard Opera 64 bit is to find, I just did a google search and found it on the first page, 4th link.
