Nice detailed tutorial. Sure to save me some frustration! What texture mod is the R91 mesh using when you showed it in Nifskope?

Hello.

I follow your tutorial and still have the same problem I haved when I try to do by myself.

1) Ok in Nifskope
2) Ok in Geck
3) No deal in the game

I use a pistol laser to create my new IDform weapon, change the model to my new .nif and in game all I have is a pistol laser.

Why? =p

Spoiler

You also need to create a 1st person static model and make your new weapon use that as well as just changing the model.

One addendum to this... on some weapons such as the 12.7mm SMG, you can't just remove the .00 on stuff like the charging handle, since Nifskope cuts off the name. You've got to take the original mesh into Nifskope and find out what its full name actually is and match it.
