Your mod Skyrim at War has been deleted from Nexus, so I could not check its info to see if it might have settings/features that affected knockdown or be out of date for your version of Skyrim. If there is another site that hosts it, you should check there. Have you tried to use healing spells on them after the knockdown? Sometimes using the console (~) to select the NPC, then disable/enable will reset them. (FYI - the NPC will disappear when disabled, but reappear when enabled.)

AFAIK, SSELODGen is simply a reconfigured SSEEdit. Have you tried to use the same command line/arguments that you used w/SSEEdit?

I cannot find your mod by searching the title on Nexus. Open Vortex, go to the mods tab, find your mod in the list, and right-click on it. If it is a mod that is still on Nexus, then you will see an option to "Open on Nexus Mods". Do that, and copy the link into your post, so that we can see it. You can also get Vortex to open the install location by selecting the "Open in File Manager" entry instead. As an aside, if you look at the download area for your mod, at the bottom of the box is a link to allow you to "Preview file contents". That will allow you to see which files are in the d/l, including .esp and/or .esm.

VR edition Creation Club Guide
7531Leonidas replied to 1angelreloaded's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim VR and Consoles
FlavoryCheese - I think that you are referring to the 'background loader' messages, after you get those, then a dialog box should open with all of the plugins that are part of your current installation, with check boxes in front of each one. If I recall correctly, the selections persist (stay the same) from the previous session, unless you change them. I don't use VR, so am not absolutely sure that SSEEdit works exactly the same there.- 15 replies

[SSE] Mod idea/search, 'find my kills'
7531Leonidas replied to KennyLex's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Use the console (~), type tg, toggles the grass to off, tg again to turn it back on. Sometimes bodies 'fall' through the landscape or walls, or something glitches and the bodies are shot/transported rather far away. There is also the Alteration spell Detect Dead. -
On my install, the background loader loads [Voices_en0.bsa], followed by several [skyrim - TexturesX.bsa], where X is a sequential number from 0-8. Yours might be choking on the voices bsa. The startup log for mine is shown in the spoiler, but only for the basic game files. After that, my mod plugins start. Maybe your Voices bsa is corrupt, or a mod/translation has a corrupted file that is overwriting it? You might check the downgrader ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618 ) to see if you can get a new copy of the game files for 1.5.97. I haven't used it yet, but ask in the comments on its page, to see if it is a possibility. Maybe Steam's download depot is still active for 1.5.97. Other, more technical users, may have better insights.

Dialogue Prompt and conversations not occurring.
7531Leonidas replied to MreverlovingBrightside's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Check for interactions between configurecommentaryrate and RDO - I think RDO has a commentary rate adjuster built in. I assume that you are using Know Your Enemy Redux, since no separate weapon and armor patches. I noticed that you are running TKAA and RSChildren mods, I have never seen that before. You should only use the sorting from Vortex OR loot, not both. Have you tried disabling all mods and checking - you might just need to verify your game files in Steam? RDO has caused no such problems for me. You are running a LOT of complete overhauls - make sure that they are not fighting each other somehow. I am always suspicious that something went crazy in the bashed patch. Never used one, seems too much 'black box' for me. SSEEdit (xEdit) is your friend - look for conflicts after loading your entire LO. -
SE to AE, list mods that need updating?
7531Leonidas replied to kaymre's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Yes, I know the feeling - over 700 mods when I finally made the change, had spent quite a bit of time lurking on the Nexus to check for updates to my favorites. Most mods carried over, I lost tk's Ultimate Dragons, and a few other mods (esp. graphics) that just weren't up to par after the upgrade - better options showed up (now over 1000 plugins), and bugfix mods required the more recent game version. Then, about 2 weeks after I made the change, the 1.6.640 version came out (ARRRGGGGHHH!), and I haven't changed over to that yet. More unsolicited advice - something will eventually break, start making a list now, and checking for updates and alternatives. Just invest the time over the next few months, break things down, so you won't have such a hill to climb should disaster strike... -
Need help fixing body texture mods like CBBE-
7531Leonidas replied to scrubclub69's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I see a few things that might cause problems, some depending on your game version (you need to add your game version into your post): You are mixing CBBE and UNP type bodies in your game. You might get the armors to work but would have to build each armor in BodySlide for the type that is not your base(default) body? Make sure to build all outfits with morphs. You will need more expert advice than I could possibly provide to make this happen. HDT-SMP is outdated, as far as I know. Use Faster HDT-SMP instead of, not with? Have you chosen to use a standalone NetImmerse Override with Racemenu (should be in Racemenu already)? If so, why? Mitsuriou's overhaul MFBO - I think is CBBE 3BA only, not UNP? These may/may not be accurate, there are many with much more knowledge than I have - I posted only to help you get started.- 2 replies

SE to AE, list mods that need updating?
7531Leonidas replied to kaymre's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
AFAIK, every mod on the modding wiki page is an SKSE mod. Just scroll down the page, and look for the ones you currently use. If there is an updated version for SE/AE, d/l it. If there is a newer replacement (it might NOT be feature identical), go to its site and d/l it. You are not looking for a "few hundred mods", just SKSE-dependent mods (probably also dependent on the Address Library for SKSE plugins). -
You might want to also post this on the SkyUI comments page. Make sure to include your game version, SKSE64 version, and your operating system, at the least. You might get faster help.

How much ram in your laptop? I use Skyrim Performance Monitor ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3826 ) in my PC, and it shows I routinely fill the 8 GB of my RTX 2080, and 18-20 GB of the 64 GB ram I have installed, with Skyrim 202x and Dyndolod 2.98 heavy (2x-4x). Others will have a more informed opinion, but I think 4k would push things a lot, for very little benefit on a 15" screen...

SE to AE, list mods that need updating?
7531Leonidas replied to kaymre's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Look at this - has the various existing Skyrim versions and compatibility listed. May still have to dig a bit for a mod or two... https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins -
Thx, too many times someone posts a problem, and then posts "nvm - fixed it!" and then never posts the fix, so others may benefit.

Better option - set your appmanifestxxx.acf (in the steamapps folder) file for your game to read-only in Explorer. Look it up on the Skyrim SE forum. Link: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/11022483-how-to-permanently-block-ae-from-ever-deploying-onto-ones-system/

recurring game freeze at windhelm
7531Leonidas replied to phillipjohnmc's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Well, I am really pushing a Ryzen 3800x and RTX 2080 (hybrid cooled) w/64 GB and multiple SSD set up, w/the game installed on the larger secondary. I am running 4k UHD with over 1k mods plus texture overhauls. I now have glitchy frame rates (avg 50-55) and some objects can be left out from time to time - my favorite, a missing alchemy table w/the pouch still there, suspended in place. -
IMO, many of the mods to make elves 'pretty' simply change them into looking like fresh-faced 14-16 y.o. humans. I used to use Etherial Elven Overhaul in Oldrim, have not used it since, b/c it seems I have to jump through too many hoops to port it. If you have a line on an elf rework that does not make them look human, but incredibly elegant, please post the link(s) here.

Help! NPC Inventories are Full of Scrolls/Tomes now?
7531Leonidas replied to droscoe2's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I think that you might also take a look at your SPID log, and check to see which mods are running that might add such items. If there is more than one, it might quickly spam them. Also check your .ini for SPID, and change any needed % chance of spawning. -
If you are still playing from a character that had Nemesis installed, then your game will probably keep looking for Nemesis. Do you/have you used any mods that affect weapon position on your PC, or have you changed the weapon style settings in XPMSE? You may just have to re-install XPMSE and re-run FNIS.

Animation for bows not working right (AE)
7531Leonidas replied to deaddagonman's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Try an internet search for "Skyrim se bow animation not aligned" - you will see several threads that might help. There is this older thread on the Nexus: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1081881-first-person-bow-animation-messed-up/ -
There are game saves, utilizing only the base game files, and maybe USSEP, that start you off about lvl 60-100 (?), and have all/most of the major questlines completed. You just add your mods, load the game, and boom. Might have to use Racemenu to alter the PC to suit you. I do not know what category such files are found under. There are alternate start mods/game overhauls that avoid some of the basic questlines, usually the Dragonborn/Dragon Rising/High Hrothgar sequence, maybe more. I haven't paid much attention to them, you will have to hunt around, unless someone with more knowledge comes around.
