I for one am sad this happened but hope you have sufficiently legally protected yourself and your intellectual property.

He's joining the Nexus, not Bethesda...

Personally, I regard EA as the worst corporate offender in gaming by miles.

As far as Bethesda seeking to destroy the modding community, it is not. It is quite clear to me that the makers of the Script Extender or their brethren will make one for Remaster.

This is not an effort to destroy the modding community, it is Bethesda doing what it can with its own intellectual property, and still leaving the door open for modders to start anew.

Since Bethesda isn't seeking to destroy the modding community I'm not sure who ELSE you could actually have meant there :P

We really need to get you a custom Bethesda cheerleader's outfit and pom poms, Arthmoor! Even if it's just for Halloween.

So it's cheerleading to challenge the claim that Bethesda is destroying the modding community? Ok.

Both my original comment and my response to you were tongue-in-cheek jokes to a daft OP, lighten up.

We can always rely on you to come save the day as soon as the jokes or even legit comments come out at Bethesda's expense, right on cue. I am sorry for speaking ill of Bethesda, even in jest. Edited by Dark0ne

Welp, time to make a backup of my mods and plugins!

Really, I just want the ability to activate mods only for certain save games like MO does without the complications of MO.

Wow the OP is way off the mark with their statement on all things mentioned.

Where can I get my tin foil hat, I think the government is trying to read my thoughts ;)

I'm glad to see a rebuild from the ground up, but at the same time, I see lots of complaints about NMM breaking games, but for me it's been absolutely fool proof. Even intentionally trying to break it, it handles it in stride.

Oh well, good luck.

Will there still be (or the potential to retain) the ability (from MO) to view individual files that are being overwritten by others mods so that you can easily skim through them (each mod) and hide particular files from each mod?

ex: 1 texture from this mod (hide), 1 mesh from that mod(hide), so on... ?

One thing that I loved about M.O. was if I installed different texture mods I didn't have to worry about loosing the pieces of one that is already installed when installing new mods that overwrite parts of them. I could click a button and have a file from any mod at any time hidden or activated.

This feature is on our to-do list and I see no reason why we would drop it but I can't give you any guarantee.
I can also not promise if it will be in the initial release or if it will be added at a later time because we haven't committed to a release-strategy here.

Fair enough = ) .. fingers crossed...

As a current MO user I'm interested in what's to come with the NMM, I've used both and I find that as it stands at this very moment MO is the better manager I love how you can set esp files as optional when a mod has several files (Cloaks of Skyrim for example), I haven't used NMM since v0.5x.x but I'm quite positive NMM doesn't have that feature (might check it out now tbh). Also the fact that MO shows you the file-tree of mods is really helpful, I mean especially when a file might be out of place and you can then fix it yourself. I'll definitely be following the progress of NMM but for now I'm sticking with MO.
