  1. Rofl, yeah but you should probably be careful with that. They're essential for a reason. You definitely won't be able to finish the Main Quest, and it might even cause a game crash. If an NPC is essential, I always just keep it that way lol. Of course for stupid old fun you could stand on top of a hill and spawn around 40,000 watermelons. Watching them skirt gracefully to the bottom is always relaxing. Might lag your game a tad though.
  2. We want a shrubbery...Ni! But place this one slightly higher than the first with a small path between them... Anyhow, getting stuck is definitely the worst part. Happened to me frequently when I was still on the Xbox 360 version of GOTY. It only took me a few times to realize I should save more frequently, but it's nice now to just be able to snap my fingers and fix it. Never again will I be kept at bay by useless storage containers.
  3. Yeah, since you're on a console version the only real option you have is to reload a previous save, or just not complete this quest.
  4. Ahh, I see. I should take notes on this stuff haha. Already learned that the hearts don't beat (which I should've deduced by knowing they're undead, but whatever), and that the stake through the heart still kills them. We could always adopt the dreadful Twilight spin on it, though, where we have to brutally mangle them and burn the tiny bits of their miserable body. Then again, they sparkle...
  5. Yeah, can't really hold that against you. I typically roleplay as female characters, just a preference, but that's why I avoid "romance" things of any type generally. There's a point where a line needs drawn, because even if my character is female I'm still very much a man. To each their own, though, and I admittedly will philander just for the kicks.
  6. Yeah, no shame in turning the difficulty slider down. I don't typically have the slider maxed to the right early in the game anyhow. It's a lot harder to hold your own in high difficulty in the lower levels, at least from my experience. I'll typically stick at the midway point until around level 20 when I've got some decent equipment, and then gradually raise it to ease myself into a tougher game. That said, though, there's also no shame in having the slider all the way to the left. If you're trying to learn the game the first time, or are even just trying out a new combat discipline, it's probably better to do that at a difficulty that won't punish every mistake you make.
  7. Lol, nice one. I'd go with Spellsword as well. It's nice to have that backup when you realize how hard it is to fling spells in the third person, lol. I'd truly look into creating a Custom Class though. I never do one of the pre-built classes. There's always at least one part of it that I don't care for. I like customizing the class to fit exactly what I want that character to specialize in, or what I think will be beneficial to that specialization.
  8. Yeah, but there's nowhere in the game world I've seen that the pressure would be too crushing for a human body to withstand. Plus with the arguably "superhuman" traits you can acquire in later stages of Vampirism, the resistance to that pressure could also become greater than the average human, or otherwise normal character of any race in the game. Majik brings up a good point with the undead thing. I mean, they really don't need oxygen. Bringing that point up, though, I wonder why a stake through the heart kills them.
  9. Well if you've never played this game before, I honestly suggest holding out on mods for a little bit. Get a feel for the game in its vanilla state before you go hacking it to bits with mods. If anything, throw on a mod or two that retexture things or replace character models. I'd hold off on anything that makes any major gameplay changes, which can even include custom armors. The game is really quite a gem. Give it a chance before you change it.
  10. Lol, nice reference. Maybe they can fix the arrows, as I imagine that the novelty of it wears off after a short while.
  11. Wait, so Oblivion is difficult? I mean, everything levels with you. However, there is a mod out there that changes that. Dunno what you're looking for exactly, though.
  12. Yeah lol. If I bite off more than I can chew I dart for some water. It's the only way to be invincible without God Mode. For whatever reason, NPCs don't have water breathing abilities. Just don't mess with an Argonian.
  13. procrustinate - to dry out like a boss when you feel like getting around to it
  14. What will we need for this journey? I shall start packing immediately.
  15. Other than screenshots and a select few commands here and there I don't really use console commands. Probably use tfc and tm the most for the screenshots, and occasionally fw if it's a crummy day out. I'll rarely use any of the other stuff, especially god mode. It just seems to ruin the enjoyment of the game.
  16. Ahh, in the Arena I always just crouch into a sneak and then wait for the gates to drop. Once the opponent is in the middle of the Arena floor they stop detecting, and you can just rain arrows on them without all the fuss of jumping around like a crazy fool. You also get the critical hit damage, which is always nice. Of course, this whole method really takes the fun out of the Arena if you ask me. I like going in with a sword and tussling it out a bit on a high difficulty setting.
  17. Well since there's really only vanilla choices, I was quite fond of a nice old glass longsword. Always liked the look of the glass stuff, and the shortsword wasn't long enough lol.
  18. Oh yeah, the Underfrykte (sp?) Matron is one of the cooler looking enemies, imo. Like how they did the invisible thing and overlayed the frozen stuff.
  19. I can't imagine you'd feel too great afterwards lol. That stuff was reallllly strong.
  20. Hircine's Shrine I believe.
  21. Yeah, I see what you mean. It's a lot easier to do the deed, even in a virtual world, if you don't have any amount of attachment. Maybe it was just me, too. They weren't the nicest of folks.
  22. Where's "over here" and how much is it there?
