From what I've been told it's a reference to the explorer :)

We could look at adding something like this, but the big question is where to put it. The forum is currently structured with siloed sections for each game, so you could always post it under the game forum with a tag for Collections?

Community Patch: License Discussion
Pickysaurus replied to Pickysaurus's topic in Starfield's Discussion
While I definitely see the value of "copyleft", I just feel anything the forces mod authors to use a particular license just won't work. If they directly use new meshes, textures, scripts, etc I can see that, but if they just reference them via master or forward simple value changes I see no reason to try and force them to open source their work. -
There has already been plenty of discussion about how to license the Community Patch project on the Starfield Modding Discord and we believe it seems like a larger conversation that would benefit from a forum thread. The Aim Before we decide on a license, I feel it's important to lay out what we want to achieve. This should better inform the choices. The Community Patch is intended to be a collection of bugfixes to improve the quality of the base game, therefore it should be as open as possible so that parts of it can be reused or overwritten by other mods. The license should: Ensure that contributors are properly credited.Allow for parts of the patch the be included in or edited by other mods. While we'd prefer there to be one "main" Community Patch, this would also allow for derivatives. Direct derivatives (e.g. SCP - Cheaters Edition) should be required to share the same license of the original patch. The patch itself should be able to freely shared around (provided the license is respected), so it can be posted on Nexus Mods, Bethesda.net, Steam Workshop or any other applicable platform without issue. Mods that include parts of SCP or require it as a master should not be force to use the same license. We should ensure mod authors who want to have more control over their work are able to. Prevent the direct monetisation of the patch through methods such as paywalling. Be simple to understand! If I've missed something here, let me know and I'll add it. Current Recommendation Dual License Binary data (e.g. the plugin) will be shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. Code (e.g. scripts) will be shared under GPL 3.0, with an adjustment to ensure that mods which use part of the patch or require it as a master can have closed permissions, if the mod author prefers that approach. (Possibly LGPL?) Alternatives This is a list of alternatives that have either been discussed and dismissed or require further investigation.

Bethesda gave us a first look at one of the Starfield companions:

For sure. I am already imagining a Stargate-style portal system.

Sorry to hear that. You might want to try reporting it as a fault to your ISP, not sure they can/will do anything but it's often caused by them using "cheaper" routes to connect you to our servers.
-
Thanks for submitting your tests. Based on the reported speeds, I can see that you are getting over 2MB/s which means there are no limits from our side in place. As you get a limited speed from all our servers around the world I'm afraid this is an ISP or routing issue. You might be able to try with a VPN to see if the speeds increase.
-
It's up to the mod author(s) if they want to allow comments or not. You can post in the relevant game forums if you want to explain the issue to the community more openly.

Looks like some Redditors have managed to get their hands on screenshots of the 2018 build of Starfield. https://gamerant.com/starfield-2018-build-images-leak/ They like to call it "NASA-punk" but it also reminds me of the Institute from Fallout 4 too.

This should now be resolved, sorry about that.

Taliehoe banned Reason: Most likely a compromised account due to the uploading of suspicious The Sims 4 content. Reference post

Seems like it was a temporary problem. Possibly at your ISPs end.

I don't remember this ever being an option. You can create a poll in the relevant game forum and link to it from your page though?

In response to post #107510423. #107520748, #107687828 are all replies on the same post. I don't think you read my comment properly... -
We are actually hoping to do a meet up of sorts at some point. Those topics you mentioned are all very Bethesda-centric but some of them would be cool.

It seems you have almost no understanding of how to use Vortex. If you'd like to move things out of AppData, you can simply change the paths in settings for the Downloads and Mod Staging Folders. If you're having a problem that isn't user error or would like to request a change, you can contact the extension creator here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/59 I'm going to lock this thread as it's just an unconstructive rant.

Paid for Premium to get dialup speeds. WTF?
Pickysaurus replied to MinimalRisk's topic in Site Support
If it's one specific file, I'd recommend starting the download from a different server (the choice is on the right side of the pop-up box when starting a download). I'm afraid I can't give you much advice without the test results though. Files over 500MB are served from a different server network than smaller ones, so doing the tests will show us the connection to all available servers. -

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried the troubleshooting pinned in this forum? https://help.nexusmods.com/article/92-im-having-download-issues-what-can-i-do We need that information to further assist you. -
Correct, generally anywhere that the posts are mirrored on the main site, we don't allow replies from the forum anymore.

In response to post #107510423. I don't think it uploads your actual files (contrary to what the message says!), it just lets the website see a list of files in that directory. -
