You may be able to simply close Vortex and relaunch it. This will reset the Collection status so you can resume it again.

If the game doesn't open at all, it sounds like you've got a bunch of mods intended for Skyrim (2011) installed to Skyrim SE. This can cause an instant crash.

The other possibility is that the host of the image disallows cross-site posting. Meaning if any website outside of their domain requests the image, it doesn't send the data back.

Yep, I spoke too soon. We were able to get a fix out yesterday.

It doesn't look like you did the full suit of tests, but if you're getting 20MB/s on the test link for the Premium CDN then your connection seems to be fine. Make sure your default server is set to "CDN". If the speed issue persists it's probably your ISP limiting your speed.

In Vortex, after the mod is installed you can disable the mod, then right click and open it in the staging folder. From there you can move the files around so they're formatted properly (relative to "Data Files") and then enable the mod and deploy.

Unfortunately that mod is not structured in a mod manager friendly way. You will need to manually adjust the file structure before deploying it.

Maybe take a look in your fallout 4 downloads folder for the Collection update file and delete any versions of it that might be corrupted?

Did you delete or otherwise modify your Vortex_deployment.json file? The issue is that the JSON is invalid which means Vortex may not be able to remove the files correctly. You can try clicking "deploy mods" to regenerate it.

I can confirm that on the website side anything enclosed in < and > will not render correctly, even if placed in a code block. I will raise this internally, but I am fairly sure this won't be fixed in the current comment system. I've tested this same scenario in the new comment system (currently WIP and used in Collections) where the issue does not occur. Best workaround for now is to post the XML on somewhere like GitHub Gist/PasteBin and link to it. Or point them to the forum version of the comment by clicking on the date on the post. Neither of those are particularly elegant but as I can't give you an ETA on a fix or mods starting to use the new comment feature it might be best to explore those options.

An I/O error is a hardware fault. When Windows (via Vortex) is trying to write a file to the disk, it's being told there is a hardware error.
