Running any texture mods?
-
This is what forums are for. No need to apologize. There is no such thing as a stupid question here.
-
I would imagine that the same methods used to increase tolerance in-game, should work for the CK as well.... I.E. an ini edit?? Worth a shot anyway.

[MOD Request] ability to claim abandoned facilities.
HeyYou replied to aFamiliarRaven's topic in Starfield's Mod Ideas
Exactly. And if that should require booting whatever spacers/pirates/zealots out, all the better. One could even make an argument for taking over settlements occupied by colonists. Not precisely a legal act...... could prolly come up with several ways to handle that aspect. -
Power Armor already kinda/sorta exists. The Mechanized, or Fastened legendary attributes add carry capacity to your space suit.....

Weird graphics issue... please help
HeyYou replied to Senturus1983's topic in Starfield's Discussion
If you were running mods on the previous install, you need to take additional steps to made sure all the leftovers are gone. If you use a mod manager, you need to purge all your mods. Then uninstall the game, then physically delete the install directory, the directory in My Games, and the directory in yoursusername\appdata. -
Create the mod in xedit, open it in the CK, and upload it to beth? No clue if that would actually work.
-
Wonder what their reasoning was for that particular decision.... Not like they aren't some of the first things that get changes when a game comes out.....
-
Say WHAT?????? Why not? You can't change GMST's in Starfield????
-
There actually ARE pipettes here in the USA. They are just a hollow glass tube, very small diameter, 3inches or so long, and hollow. It uses capillary action to draw a small liquid sample. Just stick your finger over the other end, to hold it in there, till you get it where you want it. You won't find them outside a laboratory though.

That's the way skill used to work in previous games. Simply using the skill would level it up..... Levelling a skill would give you a point toward you character level, some number of points, (generally 10) and you get a perk point..... Yeah, I liked that system better......
-
I do believe the number of ships you can own is simply a global variable, which you can set with a console command.....
-
Something is strange there..... Try a CLEAN reinstall. (hope you have a good internet connection. ) If you are using a mod manager, have it uninstall/purge/whatever your mods. Uninstall the game, methods vary depending on where you got the game from. When the uninstaller is complete, navigate to the games install directory, delete it, also delete the folder in My Games, and the one in C:\Users\YouUserName\appdata. (Hint: Shift + Delete permanently deletes files/folder, just hitting Delete simply moves them to the recycle bin, and they still take up space on your drive.) Restart your machine. (probably isn't really necessary..... but, it certainly doesn't hurt anything, and makes sure any registry entries are cleared.) Reinstall JUST the game. Make sure it works. Start new character, maybe play thru the tutorial section. Then start adding mods. See what happens.

Have you updated them for the new game version????
-
Are you using SFSE? Any plugins for it?

"Points of Interest" or POI mods should have their own catagory
HeyYou replied to Dukoth's topic in Starfield's Discussion
I agree. There is going to be a proliferation of such mods, and having them in their own category would make them so much easier to find. -
Ah, ok. Thank You. Yep, I'm american. Can ya tell??
-
Yep, that loses something in the translation. Pipette??? And the copy set/paste set, doesn't appear to work the way I would like it to, and it does NOT remember the copy from session to session. Leave the ship builder, and it's gone. I suspect it is more designed to copy color schemes from one part, to another part, during the same build session, as opposed to just selecting everything, and using the same scheme on EVERY part. (that you can actually color......) Yeah, the original author seems to have abandoned the starui mods..... There is a fix for the shipbuilder though, but, I think the 'fix' is, it simply excludes some of the habs that were causing to to not load anything at all.

Being able to put an outpost near any 'abandoned' structures would be way cool. Being able to 'adopt' those structures into your outpost would be stellar. I am constantly seeing reactors and such dotting the landscape, that no one is apparently using, (and haven't been for a couple decades) but, I can't do anything with 'em. Frustrating, to say the least.

Did you run any mods on a previous installation? Might try doing a clean reinstall, and see if anything changes.

help please? Need help ship build snap points driving me crazy!
HeyYou replied to lazloarcadia's topic in Starfield's Discussion
I had a similar problem with a set of wings..... I think Nova Galactic, but, can't remember for sure. They have three snap points on 'em, one on the end, on in the middle, and one on the back side..... I was able to attach a weapon to the middle snap on the starboard side, but, the port side simply wouldn't take it. No idea why..... The logic of the snaps leaves a bit to be desired. :D -
In the StarUI ship builder, when I am adjusting the colors, there is a button to 'copy set' in the bottom of the window. I don't know yet if it remembers that color scheme thru subsequent builds..... Haven't tested that yet.
-
Theoretically, it *should* remember those settings..... You ARE logged in, right? I haven't had to play with it for quite a while now, so, I don't recall if there is a 'save' button at the bottom of those, or not...
