It's salt water. Though, after developing the tech to remove radiation from water, one would think removing salt would be trivial. Do the borders just not go down to the water? If so, there are 'expanded settlement' mods available. Some of them expand settlements dramatically.... (to the point where it is hard to find all your settlers.....) The fact that it's salt water ain't a good excuse at all. Look at The Castle - look at Old Longfellow's cabin - look at Spectacle Island - look at Nordhagen Beach. All those settlements give access to salt water and let you put down water purifiers. But you literally can't reach the water because of the build-border at Croup Manor. WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS? I mean, you can still put them out there just by using Place Anywhere mod. But still, it's annoying and confusing that they would choose to not let you access the water at Croup. I gave up trying to understand beths reasoning (if any at all....) for doing various things quite some time ago. But, yeah, I agree with ya. If you have a settlement on the coast...... it just stupid not to extend the build area out into the water.

Awesome. :) That machine should keep you happy for several years. :D

Politicians lie. ALL of them. That is simply a fact. Know hot to tell when one is lying? His lips are moving. Yep. Trump lies. Biden Lies. Pence lies. Obama lies. Clinton lies. Its standard procedure for the lot of them. And it is VERY easy to verify.......

Shutting down your PC or just Sleep Mode
HeyYou replied to hubbards98's topic in Hardware and software discussion
That's what the drives were designed for though, so, not like you are doing anything really rude to it. And also, with Win 10, "sleep", and "shutdown", and "hibernate" are all essentially the same thing. The computer writes its current condition to disk, then shifts to a 'low power' state. When you wake it up, (by poking a key, wiggling the mouse, or pressing the power button.....) windows just reads the 'hiberfile.sys' and goes back to the exact same state it was in when you shut it down/put it to sleep/machine went into hibernation. I am not really a fan of that particular process.... so, I have my machine configured NOT to do that. (Turn off Fast Start) So, when I power on my machine, it loads fresh from the SSD. -
I LOVE Macrium. :) Even the free version will do this for ya. And yeah, going from a mechanical drive, to an SSD, is a MAJOR performance improvement. Likely one of THE best things you can do for your machine.

I think there is a hard cap on skills/attributes, and if you pass it, things get strange...... It's been a while since I played Morrowind, so, I don't recall exactly what that number was.....

Anyone use a mod called Cutting room floor for morrowind?
HeyYou replied to Swordsguy2010's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
Here is a list of keys in Morrowind. Some of the slave keys simply aren't placed in the game. For those slaves, you can cast "command humanoid" on them, have them follow you to somewhere that you actually have a slave key that works for, and that key will work. (once they are in the correct location.) -
Gibberish lines, guardes occasionally speaking in Russian

Does it do the same thing with just the game files, and no mods? -
It IS common politics. It became common very shortly after Obama was elected. Sure, it was there previously, but on nowhere near the scale it achieved during Obamas terms. When it became more important to make sure 'the other guy' couldn't get anything done, than it was to improve the country, we basically lost. That same mindset continued with Trumps election, it just change the names on the 'obstructionist' list. What you don't seem to want to understand though, is the dem policies they are coming out with, I simply CANNOT support. I WILL NOT vote for them. What other choice does that leave me? An independent candidate? When is the last time an independent won? I don't want to simply throw away my vote, I want it to actually count, therefore, I will vote for Trump. I would also like to point out, that I am doing MUCH better financially with Trump in office, than I was when Obama was there. From my perspective the republicans actually are doing better by me than the dems ever have. Even with all that is currently going on, I am still financially stable, and am doing just fine. The government isn't trying to compromise my rights, which the dems seem to be hell bent on doing. When you are given a choice of two evils, you pick the lesser of the two. For me, Trump is that lesser evil. At least he hasn't gotten us into any additional wars. (unlike Obama, that joined a couple more.)

And THAT attitude won't help you either. in fact, it will make it highly unlikely that anyone will help you. You aren't being singled out here either. Most mod requests never get a response...... And I do believe that bumping them isn't allowed either...... So, make your request, track it, in case you DO get a response...... then forget about it. If someone responds, you'll get a notification. If no one responds, don't be surprised.

Seventh Son. If you are into the fantasy witch-hunter thing, it was pretty good. :)

It's the internet. People aren't polite, they aren't nice. They don't have to be.... Not like some folks have much motivation to be nice..... Granted, there are exceptions here. Some folks are indeed nice....... they are simply outnumbered. :) That, and folks see mod requests every day...... Know how many of them actually get made? Vanishingly few. Like, maybe .00001%.... and even that may be optimistic. If there is a particular mod that you want, you are much more likely to get it, if you learn how to do it yourself.

Politics seems to be all about division at this point. We see all the protests, and the shouting from both sides, but, none of their arguments are helping to bring people together. They are driving us further apart. Politicians haven't genuinely cared about the country for a couple decades now. They just want to dine at the public trough, and get as much as they can for themselves. It's isn't about 'what is best for the country', it's about 'what will get me re-elected, and keep putting huge sums of money in my pocket.' Folks may not be wealthy when they first go to Washington DC, but they sure as heck are after their first term there...... Nope. We don't learn from history. Politicians seem to think "it will be different this time", even though it hasn't been different the last dozen times they tried it. Whatever 'it' is..... Obama made mistakes to be sure. Was he 'the worst'? Probably not..... Is Trump? Remains to be seen. Trouble is, looking at the platforms the dems are putting forward at this point, I simply cannot vote for them. I disagree with too many of their policies/positions, to ever find any common ground on them. So, if its a choice between Trump, and pretty much any democrat, I will be voting for trump again.

I think its more a 'lifestyle' thing, than a sexual identity. Don't think I have seen anyone that identifies as an exploited child...... I don't think its just the liberals either. Fair few right-wingers were hangin' out with Jeffrey Epstein as well. Liberals just seem to be a bit more vocal about it.

Ideally, that would be the case, however, in our current environment, just WHO suggests an idea determines if it gains any traction or not.

Should post this in the CS forum for whichever version of Skyrim you are playing. -
I could understand a moment or so of disorientation when first putting on/taking off a VR headset.... but, for me, it lasted several hours...... Rather an odd sensation. Even for me. :D

Well, in all reality, the drinking water in Flint Michigan IS poisonous. :D

Watch out with bigger screens for monitor when you sit close by. I have a second TV of 42" (105cm) and while only five inch/12cm larger than the one I currently use, I get motion sickness while gaming with the larger TV because I sit only a foot or two away. Played with a VR headset at work the other day.... That was fun, but, I was disoriented for the rest of the day. :)

That's very thoughtful of you. :D

The liberals are taking over the world, and they are starting (have started?) with the education systems. If you teach the kids the liberal line starting in pre-school, then they become indoctrinated quite well by the time they are ostensibly 'adults'. Of course, they can't think for themselves, feel the world OWES them a good living, and suffer under the delusion that they have some constitutional right to NEVER be offended..... Hence, the PC society we have in the US today. Cancel Culture. The acceptance of rioting/looting as 'protests', and a boatload of other stupidity to go along with it. Which is one Donald Trump won back in '16.... and why I expect him to win again in '20. At least, I sure HOPE he wins... I REALLY don't want Biden/Harris in the whitehouse..... That would pretty much spell doom for a selection of our constitutional rights...... not to mention our economy. Some of the hairbrained (harebrained?) schemes they are coming up with, and then RUNNING on, defy belief. The Green New Deal? (97 trillion over 10 years..... more than double the national budget for the time period.....), reparations for slavery? (12 trillion, no time frame stated..... essentially giving huge sums of money to people that weren't around, never experienced it, and for the majority of them, came to this country AFTER slavery had been abolished. Not to mention some of their 'social reform' ideas.... Defunding the poice? We see how well that worked in Baltimore..... (crime essentially tripled.....) It quite literally scares the crap out of me some of the stuff they think are 'good ideas'...... Fortunately, my kids are already grown, and were taught to think for themselves, and never believe anything a politician has to say. :) Denzel Washington said it best in the Movie Demolition Man.... "The world has become a Brady bunch, pussy-whipped version of itself." And he is quite right.

Education system here took a serious dump when the fed decided to base school funding on student performance. So, if you had poorly performing students, it was in the schools best interest to give the appearance they were doing better than they actually were.... so, kids that had actually failed exams/classes/etc, were STILL passed on to the next grade. Particularly any of those students that showed a modicum of athletic ability....... folks went to a great deal of trouble to see that they passed their classes. (and sometimes that involved having other folks do their work for them......) Teachers pay was also based on student performance..... so, teachers were motivated to make sure their students 'looked good on paper' as well. Grading on curves, LOTS of 'extra credit' work..... giving a good deal of credit for simply showing up in class on a regular basis, etc. It was stupid, and I knew it was stupid the first time the president talked about it. (and I was in my 20's at the time.....) I was dumbfounded that folks couldn't see exactly what was going to happen...... and it did. The US used to be rated in the top 10 on education, now, we are down in the mid 30's....... It didn't help that schools became 'babysitters' for working class parents...... When I grew up, both parents working was a rarity. By the time I graduated, it was becoming more common. Few years later, it pretty much required two incomes to support a middle class household.... Schools started offering breakfast programs to 'under privileged' kids, then they started offering lunch programs as well.... then, just about EVERYONE qualified for the free meals.... and school budgets suffered for it. That money had to come from somewhere.... They stopped teaching 'useful skills' classes. No more Home Economics. No more shop classes. Arts and humanities were next on the chopping block. Schools became nothing more than 'testing centers'. Kids were taught how to pass the test the fed mandated. (on which, school funding was based....) Everything else fell by the wayside. Except sports programs, of course...... Those were pretty much exempt from ANY budget cuts. A school in a town north of me a ways, built a new school. Then decided they needed a new sports stadium. Put the millage increase (tax to pay for it) to a vote. It was declined. School built the place anyway.... Something just north of 5 million dollars (back in the late 90's) for a stadium that DIDN'T HAVE BATHROOMS...... The sheer stupidity of it all was outrageous. But it's typical of school administration.... Truly scary. And all the while, the government decided that they knew better how to raise and discipline kids, than their parents did. They also decided that it wasn't the schools place to discipline ANYONE, and the inmates took over the asylum. Teachers had no authority in their own classrooms. The students did..... You can guess how that turned out..... When things started going bad, the powers-that-be wondered what was going wrong, so, more counselors/social workers appeared in schools. (and there's that budget thing again.....) Things still didn't get better. Then we got 'safe spaces', and other such nonsense. And it went downhill from there... I actually feel sorry for kids going to school today. They don't really get a quality education.... They get a great indoctrination though..... But, I graduated back in the late 70's. (yeah, I'm an old fart too. :) ) Things were MUCH different then. And having an education MEANT something.
