  1. Holy smokes batman, Don't do that!
  2. Loved the cartoon in the series of pics. :) That is just spot on. :D And yep, Russia got spanked, big time. Goes well with calls for him to retire, or be charged with treason, depending on which group of Russian politicians you want to listen to. :) Either way, I think his time is coming to an end, and so is the war. Of course, this only increases the odds that he will toss a nuke or two. It is patently obvious he is going to lose. There ain't no hidin' that any more. So, will he go quietly? Or kicking an screaming?
  3. Heh. I used to have a paintball marker (several, actually) that was named by the manufacturer "TES". Seeing it in print like that made me go down memory lane  If it was morrowind, for me.... I think my first personal mod was cheater arrows. Arrows that inflicted paralysis, then burning, and poisoning. (Yes, I really really REALLY hated those ugly flying featherless birds!) And some personal mods for player homes. And I got recruited by He That Shall Not Be Named for one of his armor/weapon mods for one of his custom races doing conceptualization and concept art. If it was MC2.... omg modding that game was a nightmare in tediousness! Use a special program to decode the game's archive files, extract the contents of those files. .Zip about 3 gigs worth of those files up into a .zip folder that you had to rename the extension to, afterwards. Then RE extract them, every time you wanted to make a change, and then RE Archive them AGAIN..... And heaven help you if you were switching out parts on a car, or making one car into a different car. That game had like, at least 20-30 files, just for one car body! And that's not counting the technical data files, which were separated out into different files! :pinch: And this was on SUB 1 ghz processors! SINGLE Processors! Meh. There goes memory lane! Anyways, started modding the favorite car for better speed. Then for more durability. Then for better handling. Then for better friction (game term, not mine). Again and again and again for better friction.... If you have ever modded the files for Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto games, you will see how complex those car mod files are, and understand how much trial and error is involved with those. As MC2 was pretty much the grandfather for GTA. I DO remember that I wanted to get Robin to try out that game, later on. I wanted to make a modded out Porsche for him, since he was really into those cars at the time. Just never got around to seeing if he wanted to check it out  Not really modding anything right now. Too much work  Tho the interest is Fallout 4. I loved cliffracers. They made for an excellent opportunity to increase my archery skill. :D I would actually go HUNTING them.
  4. We aren't much better than they are....... Be glad they aren't really tool users yet.....
  5. Actually, going thru and 'cleaning up' on your machine, and shutting down processes you will never use, really isn't a bad idea. It isn't nearly so critical these days, what with how powerful the hardware has become, but, if you are running on a machine that kinda struggles to run the game, every little bit helps, and windows 10 (and likely 11) has a LOT of crap going on the background, that I know I will NEVER make use of. (phone app? xbox game bar? etc..... and they ALL start with windows.)
  6. I would be tempted to check and see if there isn't a script related to sleep, and if one of your mods changes it. Could also try opening the console, entering enableplayercontrols, hit enter, close the console, and see if things are back to normal.
  7. Deactivate all your mods, see if the game will start. Are you using F4SE? If so, try grabbing Load Accelerator. It uncaps framerate while in loading screens..... (loading is tied to framerate for some obscure reason.)
  8. I used to work at the Staples here in town..... When I started, there were generally three of us on the floor, to run the tech counter, and help customers on the floor. As time went by, we first got reduced to two workers.... then down to one.... One person to handle the phone, the customers, stocking, and the tech work.... even during our busiest times of day. Then, they decided to start selling cell phones as well.... and the demo for how to set someone up took almost an hour. I made the mistake of asking "What are we supposed to do with all the other customers while we dink with setting up a phone for an hour?" I was taken to task for 'not being a team player'...... I left shortly thereafter. I had the advantage of not actually NEEDING to have a job though.... I was medically retired, and went to work part time simply because I was bored. (and my wife told me to. :) ) So, just walking out one day, didn't really cause me any issues. I suspect you don't have that advantage...... I NEVER want to work in retail, in a corporate environment, ever again. The outright stupidity of management beyond the store level was just astounding.
  9. Darn. That is going to be impossible to find....... Hhhhmmmm.......
  10. Yeah, they have to be in the correct folders under the Data folder for the game to have a clue. Don't know about he sanctuary stuff.
  11. Try updating your video drivers first, if that doesn't help, run the repair tool on the various .net installations on your machine.
  12. The ones listed in the tags up above. Missed that. :) I tend to ignore tags. (in case you didn't notice. :) )
  13. Download, and install Vortex. The archive (.rar, or .7z, or .zip etc, has to be extracted, and fora fair few mods, that is a non-trivial procedure....) There is an option to add mod from file in vortex, point it at where the archive is, and vortex will handle the hard work. Be sure to 'deploy' the mod before starting the game though. :D
  14. Try editing the ini directly. Or, use the Skyrim SE configuration tool. Could also try borderless windowed mod, in full screen..... Or some such. :D
  15. Would going out to third person help? (I don't play third person, ever, so, I just don't know....) I think the mousewheel trick would be great...... having to 'guess' where my 'nade is gonna go, is annoying. Also, I don't seem to get a grenade arc at all in interior cells... Is that something in my game screwing up? Or, is that vanilla behavior?
  16. Most of the targeting HUD mods I have seen, simply give you the ability to pt the effect on eyewear..... Generally at the armor workbench.
  17. Use a mod manager. Vortex is quite friendly to new users. :) Makes your life much easier.
  18. Well, the radiant quests can be repeatable.... so, probably not going to be able to avoid those. You might find a save-game with the mainquest complete though.
  19. Check in your pipboy to see what workshops you have. I don't know if they actually show up if you never activate them though..... But, doing the quests for the settlements, tends to have them align with you, whether you want them or not. And of course, settlers in FO4 are notoriously incapable of doing ANYTHING for themselves...... I am impressed they can actually feed themselves without someone holding the spoon for them.....
