  1. Messages in the console are at the discretion of whomever is writing the mod. Some folks have 'debugging code' embedded in their mods, and you see those messages in the console. Others do not. Still others have a switch you can set, to enable/disable the debug messages. Usually, that is documented in the mods readme, but, not always. :D
  2. Autosaves and quicksaves have a bad reputation. Earlier games were notorious for corrupting them, and hosing your game. Beth *seems* to have fixed that.... I occasionally use autosaves in Skyrim, and FO4, and I haven't had a problem..... Yet.....
  3. I wholeheartedly concur. This 'full dark' by 5:30 is really a drag. It's dark when I get up to go to work, it's dark when I get out of work, to come home.......
  4. Ok, better late than never I suppose..... But, disabling Harvest Overhaul solved the issue. I can wander around solstheim with no trouble at all with it turned off.
  5. Uninstalling the game doesn't clean up after itself very well. There are leftover files in the My Games/Skyrim folder, and also a fold in appdata... (a hidden folder) You could try just deleting all the ini files in your My Games\Skyrim, and see if the game will start.
  6. Trying to use Skyrim Legendary Edition mods, in Skyrim Special Edition, or, Anniversary edition, as the case may be, doesn't always work as advertised. This forum here is for the older version of skyrim, further down in the list of "Games beginning with S", is Skyrim SE.
  7. Mod authors make mods to suit their own tastes, thus, dependencies on other mods. Now I will grant you, some of them really go overboard on the dependencies...... I have seen some that have more than a dozen other files required, and I agree with you on that topic, I am just not going to go there.
  8. Another vote for Extended Dialog interface, and also Scrap Everything. For my third choice, that would be Modern Firearms/Modern Sidearms. VASTLY improved selection of weapons available. :D
  9. Maybe try posting on that specific games mod troubleshooting forum. This forum is for issues with the site, not mods, or game problems.
  10. Nexus mod manager would likely work just fine for you. Back in the day, I actually used OBMM to install FCOM, but, at the time, that was the only option available. :D
  11. Well, it's fixed, and that is really all that matters. :D
  12. Can you switch between 1st, and 3rd person? Still the same problem?
  13. I already do this, without a mod, but, it's been so long ago, I don't remember HOW I did it. :D I think there is something in the ini somewhere about "Starting console commands", or some such. Ah, here is is: In your fallout4custom.ini use: sStartingConsoleCommand= Under the General Section, followed by the console command you have in mind. I used it to turn off character lighting. I suspect you can do multiple lines that way as well. (though, I haven't tried it.)
  14. I try not to be overly concerned about framerate... anything over 30FPS is just icing on the cake. If it starts dipping below that, THEN I become concerned. :D
  15. See thru scopes. It has been implement for some, but, not all scopes.
  16. Depends on which game you are working on. Beth flatly states in their EULA that mod authors own their work, of course, they also strictly forbid monetizing it in any way. :D (I.E. you can't require a 'donation' or 'payment' in order to download the mod.) This is fair especially given the quantity of glitches BethSoft negligently leaves in its games. They aren't bugs, they are FEATURES. Get it right. :D
  17. I don't see prices coming down for several months yet. Chip shortages, supply chain issues, port backups, etc, are all conspiring to make a lot of products hard to come by. Vid cards have been in short supply for more than a year now. I don't see that ending soon. Currently, where I work, NONE of our vendors have any vid cards at all. Yea, the one I bought was kinda on impulse but also kindof dumb luck to find, of course it came from China.... not too crazy about that part but it is what it is I got lucky. My boss owed me a favor for bailing him out, when we ran out of employees. :D So when we got some 3070's in, he sold me one for 400 bucks. Going from a 1060 to a 3070 was a MAJOR performance improvement. :D haha nice, well hopefully around tax return time i'll have enough to get a whole new rig all together One of my favorite times of year. :D I am thinking about a new monitor this tax season..... something in a 34 inch, 2K resolution flavor. That's about the biggest I can go on my current desk. :D
  18. To our various lefties accusing us of ignoring reality, how about having a read here. This article explains EXACTLY what you are doing. Ignoring the facts, and basing your opinions on what the media outlets are feeding you. Most of which, is patently false.
  19. Some falmer use bound weapons.... No idea how that was accomplished, but, might be worth taking a peek at.
  20. Putting content behind a paywall IS a violation of the terms of use for the CK, and at one time, really annoyed Bethesda. But, of late, there are numerous content creators hiding their stuff behind paywalls, of which, Beth is well aware, and they haven't done anything about it. (at least, nothing anyone knows about, and certainly nothing that has affected them in any way.... all that stuff is still there.) The "non-commercial use" thing isn't a Nexus only policy, it is a Bethesda policy. Nexus merely enforces it here as well. Mod authors are NOT permitted to make money from their mods, unless it is Beth paying them. (CC content.)
  21. Technically, modders aren't permitted to be paid for their work. Part of the CK EULA.
  22. I see this problem on occasion as well. For me though, a reinstall just isn't doable. I have a LOT of mods, and for the most part, the game runs rather well. Most of the time, inventory works perfectly, but, on occasion, something will trigger, and inventories have a delay before loading. Usually, just saving, and reloading my game, will solve the issue. Worst case, save, exit the game completely, then reload the same save, and the problem is gone again, for a while. No idea what causes it.....
