You're not explaining your issue very well. It sounds like Vortex may have presented you with the "External changes" window and you chose not to accept the changes, which reverted the files to their last deployed state. This is intended behaviour.

I can confirm that with the latest SFSE and Plugins.txt loader mods do work. If you're on Xbox Game Pass you need the ASI loader, which may not be updated. For reference, I followed the instructions here: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/articles/7

Delete archives are gone. You can redownload the mod from the website though.

Windows cannot access specified device path
Pickysaurus replied to PositiveMessage's topic in Vortex Support
Honestly, I don't think it's anything to do with Vortex. You should explain the steps you took to get it (if they are repeatable). -
Name matching: Doesn't match the file name
Pickysaurus replied to CraniumAmbiguity's topic in Vortex Support
The deploy order doesn't do anything unless the two mods conflict. In the case of Stardew Valley, no mods will conflict.- 5 replies

Windows cannot access specified device path
Pickysaurus replied to PositiveMessage's topic in Vortex Support
I can't think of any reason why Vortex would cause this. It may be unrelated, but you'll need to provide more detail. -
Palworld "Cannot read properties of undefined"
Pickysaurus replied to Veskandar's topic in Vortex Support
This is caused by an update to UE4SS - an update to Vortex will be available in the next few days. -
Do not load plugins via the INI file. SFSE needs to be updated to the latest version. Until you've done that you cannot load any plugins.

Thanks for all the feedback. Ghostery has been added to the "bad adblockers" list.

subscription for mods improved spend time
Pickysaurus replied to ranoutofnames666's topic in Site Support
Hi Katie, Yes. You can cancel the subscription immediately if you wish. This will mean your plan will end after 1 month. Kind regards -
Thanks for clarifying, yeah these are from a bug fixed during testing.

Can you screenshot an example of a message you've received about editing your content? That definitely shouldn't be happening. You might see it in some of the older notifications as that was a bug in the system a few weeks before release (we had to keep it running for around 90 days to back-fill notifications).

That's weird because "exe-version" is used by a load of parts of the app. This smells of a security app deleting important files or blocking Vortex from accessing them. Have you tried reinstalling Vortex over the top of what you have installed? Failing that, try going to %appdata%\Vortex\plugins\ and delete the folders called something like "Vortex Extension Update - Skyrim VR v1.0.3" and "Vortex Extension Update - Baldur's Gate 3 v1.3.12"
-
Everything Vortex "knows" is stored under %appdata%\Vortex. When Vortex is running it automatically looks through the install manifests for Steam, GOG, Epic, EA Play and Xbox Game Pass. This is how it would know where a game is (if you deleted the appdata folder). If that location is invalid, you probably didn't uninstall the game properly and there are still references to it.

Hi again, Sorry for the delay. I'm afraid you seem to be one of the very few users who can't change their settings. Did it work correctly on the old preference page? When you make a change are you getting the green banner at the bottom of the page confirming it? I've asked @themagickoala (one of our devs) to see if they can see anything that would cause this feature not to work for you. Based on the screenshots provided it seems your preferences do save, but are not applied when you look at the mods list.
-
If you double-click one of the failed extensions it will open a side panel which should include details on why it failed. What does it say there? I can't think of anything "special" Skyrim VR is doing off hand that would cause it to fail.
-
Ah, didn't realise it was available while drafting a topic. I guess that might need to be tweaked.
-
Did you install the right version, as discussed in this solution?
-
You can consider "Hide" to be "Delete" as far as the feature goes for general users. Moderators can still see the content though. This is intended as trolls might post something toxic and try and hide the post before a moderator can see it.

Can you provide the exact link you are entering in the field to add the video? Otherwise I can't advise you. Make sure you use the format below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzAMcFbeAFg
-
A hardlink is indistinguishable from a normal file, that's kind of the point. You can use the command line to confirm it's a hardlink if you don't believe it. In this example, I have F4SE_Loader.exe from the Fallout 4 Script Extender deployed via hardlink. I then do this: Open a new Powershell Window in the game folder (hold Shift + Right click -> Open Powershell window here). Type in the command "fsutil hardlink list f4se_loader.exe" See a result with two lines which are the two "pointers" which are directed to the same file. Please try not to necro year-old posts. If you're having a problem, feel free to start a new thread.

What link did you use to insert that video? You might need to use a slightly different one. Our video importer is quite old now and doesn't play nicer with "newer" URLs such as the Shorts format.
