Hhhmmm..... Most of what I find relates to NMM not installing textures properly, unless ran as admin..... but, I suspect that only applies to loose files. Try disabling TOP, and see if the door reappears.
-
That's just weird....... Do you have any texture packs installed?
-
Can you just step thru, into the void there? Or do the doors still have collision?

Well, we do seem to have a penchant for letting them come here, and supplant our culture with theirs...... All in the name of 'diversity'..... Diversity should occur naturally, it shouldn't be legislated, all that does is create problems. And yeah, we need to figure out that we are NOT the 'world police', and other countries problems are exactly that. THEIR problems. Sure, we can lend a hand here and there, but, money and equipment, NOT our blood. If we stay in Iraq/Afghanistan, until the 'mess is straightened out', we are going to be there till the end of time. Currently, WE are the biggest stumbling block to any kind of stability in the region. We can't force it on them at gunpoint, they need to figure it out on their own. Get out. Sooner the better.

IsSneaking anything better to use as condition?
HeyYou replied to sillypancake's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Can you just bind it to a configurable hotkey, and get better behavior out of it? Or maybe, determine which key is currently bound to 'sneak', (if you only want to activate it during sneak) and then just test for that keypress to change in/out. -
Friend of mine tried that with the fatman as well. He has a pretty beefy machine, but, I think after about the 20th nuke went off, he was looking at his desktop. :D My major malfunction with the fat man is, it tends to scatter bodies over GREAT distances..... such that they are VERY difficult to find and loot. :D

I turned off notifications in win 10, so I don't get the three bazillion messages any more. If you tell windows that your internet connection is metered, it will only download security updates. (and will give you the option for the feature updates.) You can also set the 'active hours' on your machine, and during those hours, the machine won't notify you about reboots for updates, nor will it simply reboot on you. :) You just get a little icon down in the system tray, and that's it. I am really not a fan of win 10 either....... but, when I upgraded my machine, I didn't get a choice if I wanted to run relatively recent hardware...... There just isn't any support for older operating systems.

I build a 'fire and forget' targeting rocket launcher, with the never ending legendary effect, for just such occasions. :) I need to see if I can extend the range of the site lock-on though. They need to get uncomfortably close before it locks. But, once it does, Let the FUN Begin!!! :D

Excellent. Thank You gentlemen. :)

What I have is a wall section, that another member was kind enough to blow a couple holes in, as windows, or, maybe more accurately, gun ports. :) Problem I have, is fixing the collision, so that I actually CAN shoot thru the ports. Is there any way to do this without having 3dsmax? Currently, the mesh doesn't have any collision at all. Those nodes are not there in nifskope. Please keep in mind, I am an absolute noob when it comes to manipulating meshes, etc. :D

Everyone love The Terminator. :D

Not just off hand. Check the description page for the mod, all the hotkeys are listed there. :) -
Couple threads on the steam forums about it. This one, for example. :) Good Luck!

That's the problem with a democracy. (or, a republic, if you want to be technical) Rule by the lowest common denominator. It is the system we have..... and I am not really interested in moving to a dictatorship...... where ONE guy makes ALL the decisions...... Everything is a compromise. :) And yeah, our foreign policy really sucked there for a while. Not much better today. Bush Jr. really screwed the pooch when he invaded Afghanistan, and later, Iraq. That was the start of the whole region destabilizing. Sure, Saddam wasn't really a nice guy, nor was Assad, but, they kept their countries reasonably stable, really didn't meddle much in global affairs, and, in the case of Saddam, kept the terrorists out. All that changed because of Bush Jr. The Iraq invasion being based purely on flat-out lies really doesn't improve my opinion of him either...... I didn't support the war then, (either of them) and I don't think we should be there now. Our government simply doesn't understand their culture, and because of that, they regularly make idiotic decisions, that make the problems worse, not better. Can't change the past though, so, the situation is what it is. Still, we should simply get out of the middle east. WE are the major destabilizing factor there. Folks will train terrorists in those countries regardless of whether we are around or not. We spend trillions of dollars, for absolutely zero gain. How about we start spending some of that money right here at home? Or, better yet, start reducing the national debt, starting with a balanced federal budget? Wouldn't that be novel?

Yeah..... "put away your weapon". Oddly enough, that has NEVER worked for me....... If I put my weapon away, more guys come crawling out of the woodwork, shooting at me....... Seems kinda counter-productive to me..... Besides, the BoS generally HATE me. I think they would be more likely to giggle with glee, and empty their magazines into me. :D
-
I really don't think it can be done, without some MAJOR changes in the game. Both locations figure prominently in the main quest, and more side quests that I can count. I would ask, WHY do you want those areas gone??

Using place everywhere? (anywhere?) You may be hitting some key combination accidentally. -
English would be good...... :D
-
LOLOL. Yeah, I regularly make enemies of the BoS....... I thought I would waltz into the airport one day, and annoy them for a bit. Imagine my surprise when I come upon a fortified position, with almost 2 dozen guys, half of which are in power armor..... Needless to say, I died. Quickly. I don't think I even had TIME for an 'oh s#*!'....... It was more like, "Oh, hey! Look at...... WTF?" and that was because I was dead. :D Ooops. Time for a new plan.

People, as in the living, breathing entities that reside legally within our borders. Corporations do not qualify. I think that one minor distinction would make a significant difference. But yeah, you are right, ask 10 different people what they think would be a 'good idea' on any particular topic, and you would get 10 different answers. I think the answer to that would be, if the majority of people support a measure, it should pass, if the majority do NOT support it, then it should not. And I am talking a majority of PEOPLE, NOT just 'people in congress'. I also believe that if a law directly contravenes a delineated right, as defined in our constitution, then it most certainly should NOT pass. In instances where there is no defined right, (for instance, abortion) then the decision to do so, or not, should be left to the individual, and NO law should be passed. The government should not be in the business of attempting to legislate morality. That is a major over-reach of their power. Granted, laws against murder (depriving someone else of THEIR rights) would stay on the books. :D

Yeah, the FF prefix means they come from your save game. Might try a help command...... try: help worker 4 See what comes up in the console. (in place of 'worker' put in the name they display when you highlight them.) Should give the base id in the list of forms, and from that, you can determine which mod.

Corrupt (?) Savegame upon entering specific map region
HeyYou replied to Metazolid's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I don't think I have ever had a problem with a corrupt save..... Of course, I don't use quicksaves, I try and avoid autosaves like the plague, (they are insurance only) and I never overwrite hard saves. I am not even a fan of using exit saves..... I am curious why they are a few meg larger than the 'standard' save I made immediately before exiting the game..... I would love to know what additional information they are storing there...... Used to be, save files had the exact same layout as mod files. You could change the ESS extension to ESP, and load your save in the construction kit. I don't recall if that was still an option in Oblivion, but, sure worked great for Morrowind.... Wish beth would have stayed with that format, but, oh well. -
Yeah, I get a LOT of those "oh s#*!" moments later in the game..... When super mutants with friggin vulcans start showing up..... two or more at a time. Do NOT get caught out in the open..... :D
-
Yup. Plug and play. If the drive originally had the o/s installed on it, back up any data you want from it, then use disk management to delete all existing partitions, and create one large partition on the drive. Quick format, and you are ready to go. Microsoft is still allowing folks to upgrade older operating systems to win 10 without having to buy a new copy of windows. The in-place upgrade actually works fairly well. I don't know if that is going to remain the case after the 14th of this month. (when support for win 7 ends.) Unless you actually like windows 8......... I hated it with a passion. :D

mystery pages throughout the commonwealth
HeyYou replied to lightguidste's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
:D Yeah, Fallout4.esm is included in that 255 limit. For ESL files, how many you can use I do believe is limited by how much 'stuff' each one adds. The limit is reached when you run out of possible FormIDs, after that, no more will work. FormIDs! that's what I was trying to think of! Thanks tons, HeyYou! Also, thanks for taking that with an open mind about the "technical 254" limit  Wouldn't work very will without Fallout4.esm. :D I think it's all just a matter of how folks look at it. Fallout4.esm HAS to be there for the game to run, so, technically, you can 'only' add 254 mods. Assuming you don't have any of the DLC. And then we have mods that include both an .esm, AND a .esp file, thus, taking up two mod slots....... Ain't this fun! :D
