And then there are those times when you just pull the trigger, and wave it around, and hope whatever it is you are shooting at, dies. :) Bloat Flies, Stingwings, Bloodbugs...... The 'highly maneuverable' and psychic guys that know where you are going to shoot, before you do. :D This is where the 'never ending' legendary comes in REAL handy. :D

Yeah, that's gotta be a mod conflict.

The cell is likely flagged to reset..... which most cells outside of settlements are. So, containers repopulate, as do enemies......

mystery pages throughout the commonwealth
HeyYou replied to lightguidste's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
:D Yeah, Fallout4.esm is included in that 255 limit. For ESL files, how many you can use I do believe is limited by how much 'stuff' each one adds. The limit is reached when you run out of possible FormIDs, after that, no more will work. -
I see that happen with ghouls outside of vats fairly regularly. I can't say for sure it is 'one shot, two kills' though, as most of my weapons are full auto, and firing just a single round is pretty rare. :) But, I HAVE dropped two ghouls standing in line with one short burst. I think when the first ghoul dies, their collision dies with them, so the second round simply passes right thru them.

Yeah, it seems LOTS of folks are getting stupid slow download speeds. Seems the site is going thru some changes, and things are not working out quite as well as they should. :D Be assured, staff are working on it.

mystery pages throughout the commonwealth
HeyYou replied to lightguidste's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
There is a hard limit of 255 active esp/esm files. I don't think there is a practical limit for esl files though. -
Did you try it? It's a FOSE plugin, so, you need the fallout 4 script extender as well.

What platform, and a link to the mod in question please?

Corrupt (?) Savegame upon entering specific map region
HeyYou replied to Metazolid's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I have never liked quicksaves, since Morrowind.... they were notorious for causing issues. Overwriting saves had similar issues. Do you have any mods that affect the area in question? Might try going someplace else for 5 weeks...... and then return. (allows the area to reset) See if the problem persists. -
Downloads are still slow and nothing has been done...
HeyYou replied to hawkrf's topic in Site Support
I have noticed that the whole NexusMods side of the site has been significantly slower of late...... I though maybe it was due to the holiday season, and there were just more people online, but, it hasn't improved with the passing of the holidays. Wonder if we are getting on toward time for another step up the hardware food chain on the server side....... -
You can run in windowed mode, and use the 'borderless window' and still be full-screen. I think those are actually options in the launcher, if not, there is likely a mod for it. I use Load accelerator. It uncaps framerate during loading screens, which made a big difference for me.

Merged /bashed patch for Fo4...Why? How?
HeyYou replied to metaton's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
For the most part, the merged patch will take care of conflicts. But, it is not a cure all. If you have two mods that change the same area, moving buildings, changing landscape, etc, those are going to be hard conflicts, and you will need a purposely constructed patch to resolve those. No automated tool will cut it for those types. -
Wonder if it would be possible to have the game actually display the position/rotation of your selected object..... That would make precise placement of things like lights much easier.....

Merged /bashed patch for Fo4...Why? How?
HeyYou replied to metaton's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I used FO4Edit to make a merged patch, but, nuked the leveled list entries from it. I then used Wrye Bash to deal with the leveled lists. I didn't do anything along the lines of conflict resolution, as that is what the patches are for. If you have two mods trying to change the same thing, last one loaded wins. If you have two mods changing two different aspects of the same item, that's what the merged patch is for. If the conflict is bad enough, you will simply get a crash when in the area affected, or some other odd and strange behavior...... -
If you go for a swim in that lake, and look at all the crap on the bottom, you will understand why water quality was an issue. :D

Be sure and clean out all the stuff in your My Games\Fallout 4 folder, and also the stuff in your C:\Users\YouUserName\AppData\Local\Fallout 4. The uninstaller for the game does not clean up after itself very well. It also doesn't clean out your mods from the game install folder either.
-
I was thinking that exact same thing :D Your next project? :D
-
Thanks  What do you have in mind? -Edge I'll send you a PM, so we don't clutter up this thread with off-topic stuff. :)

Try and cap at 60, and see if anything changes.
-
Do you have your framerate capped? Game engine doesn't like frame rates over 60FPS, physics get stupid. :D

Fallout 4 Crashing To Desktop During Startup
HeyYou replied to SpringTrap3623's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
At one time, the pip-boy paint jobs were causing folks issues, along with another of the CC mods, which I can't remember just off hand. (Had a customer bring his machine in for crashing in FO4.... and nuking some of the cc content was the fix.) Yeah, I love my job. :D -
There is no bunker there, but, that would be a great idea for a mod. :D
-
Holy smokes. You do some stellar work. Do you take requests? :D
