  1. For Skyrim and Fallout 4, it was a script extender plugin. Yeah, I am waiting for that one too. :D
  2. What mods do you have installed? Probably a texture replacer causing it.
  3. They aren't esp files for the most part, that are bat files that need to be added to the "startingconsolecommands" line in your ini. Otherwise, they don't work. Vortex doesn't know how to do those yet. Read the install instructions for the mod, its a manual process, but, it works.
  4. I can see how having just ONE bat file, that contains all the merged mods folks wanna run, but, that can get confusing right quick. Is it possible to put 'comments' in the bat file? Something like: :mod name command 1 command 2 Etc?
  5. HeyYou

    why ?

this video is nice and it tells how it works. what it does not tell is how to treat super rich people who do not care for more than their pure ego and just want to play recklessly the strongest clowns on this planet. since even leading democracies fail obviously to identify and to produce and elect capable and credible leaders, there seems to be no hope to find a balance in any election soon. just ego, hate and aggression counts since the last 15 years and even more the last 7 years - instead of believable and reasonable content as i hoped. the balance is completely lost since then. if we do not change that we all will end up sooner or later in autocracies. Longer than that.... Several decades.... It really started to accelerate downhill when Obama was elected. Then it became more important to make sure the 'other guys' couldn't do anything useful, than it did for the current party in power to do anything useful.... Thus, nothing useful happened. Just more stupid... erm... stuff. (congress got a raise though.) I more expect that we will end up in a nuclear war.
  6. The machine I am currently using has a Corsair h100i 240 mm AIO liquid cooler, but it is probably overkill for a 4790K@stock. The only issue I have had with it is the loud fans, although this may also partially be due to the default case fans that Corsair shipped with the 750D when I built this machine in 2014. My more recent build uses a Noctua D15S air cooler with a 5950X@stock. I had more trouble mounting that cooler than I ever did with the h100i, the sheer size of the D15S made it hard to align the cooler on the mounting bracket pins while lowering it onto the CPU. I have never heard of mondo. Mondo: Slang term. Means "Big". :D I have a Noctua air cooler as well. Two huge 'radiators' and two fans, though I only use one. No room for the second one, too much stuff in the way.
  7. UI mods for PC are among the first to come out, once we have the proper tools. :D
  8. I've never really been a fan of liquid cooling. Somehow, putting WATER inside an electrical device just doesn't quite feel right. (but, submerging an electric pump in gasoline does????? hhhmmmmmm.......) I just have a mondo air cooler on mine, and temps are stable regardless of what I am doing, or temp in the room. Is the 14th gen chip gonna use the same socket as your current one? (My guess would be "no".....) So, you would have to upgrade the system board in any event... might just as well go with DDR5, since you are changing anyway. (and may not get a choice if the 14th gen socket MB's don't come with DDR4 memory slots.....) Proc might be overkill for the 4070..... It would become your performance choke point. Of course, vid cards are a whole lot easier to upgrade then CPU's. :D But, from where I am sittin', going to the 14th gen chip is going to entail essentially rebuilding the whole machine anyway..... So, why not replace EVERYTHING, then sell whole the parts you aren't going to use. :D
  9. HeyYou

    why ?

    1. That hasn't been the case for more than a decade. They all have their particular bias, so, ANYTHING you read is going to be heavily slanted. Foreign media is likely more impartial. 2. They are ALL crooks. There is no such thing as an "Honest Politician". They simply do not exist.
  10. The 13th gen i9 would be a significant performance boost, at stock clocks, the 14th gen likely even more so. (again, at stock clocks.) 850 is the minimum for a 4090...... If you have a buncha other stuff in there as well.... It may not be enough.
  11. they might also use different mechanics in the first place. Well apparently from a Chineese player a leak seems to describe the planetary exporation pretty limited and blocked behind invisible walls. You basically choose a spot to land on planet, the spaceship lands there, the engine renders and creates procedurally the tile of the planet , you can walk around in that tile limited and if you go to border you get message you cannot go beyond or something like that, to explore further you need to go back to ship , space and choose another tile where to land... This to me seems a bad new as apparently looks like the game engine is not able to support a full planet generation and seamless transitions from tile to tile, so basically there wouln't be not much point in having rovers, vehicles or have the ship fly around on the planet, thus making the possibility of an openspace open planet mod useless... Unless this limitation could be worked around somehow? a Possible circumvent to this could be if for example the tiles are really huge, for example like Skyrim size, then vehicles could be still introduced and implemented a message that advices of autonomy fuel for the vehicle to be ending if going further ahead and that won't be possible to recover if going ahead , same for oxygen of the spacesuit, eventually would need to be refueled or refilled by a tool somehow . So vehicles could still be a thing but only if those tiles are really huge. Another speculation could be if Tiles are limited instead to manual edited areas, which could make sense, as beyond a certain boundary the detail and the precision of the edited surface might be lower. finally possible could be modded in a preload of cells if someone walks moves on the planet toward a certain direction so to avoid the load screen of going back and forth from the space to planet or whatever the system is . I have also read that the 'you can't go that way' thing was still in the tutorial area...... So, does it work the same way once you are passed that??? Don't know. We will see in few days ! You betcha! :) I am impatiently waiting for the 30th, when I can kick off the download. :D

  13. Look at you trying to be all clever and using words you, or one of your myriad alter ego accounts cut/pased out of Google, hence why it doesn't make sense in the context you supplied. Then you went and got banned. I blame the democrats. This wouldn't happen under Trump! Ya clown! Nah, Trump woulda banned him too. :D
  14. Not sure it would even be possible to move the planet surface worldspace into the 'space' worldspace..... If it is possible though, Someone will do it. :D I guess it will depend if the planetary maps are actually spherically mapped or flat maps , if are spherical , so with gravity etc then I guess its possible, if instead are just a flat map with a repetition transition from west to east then I guess it would require a reprojection etc, Still much more complicate and will depend if the engine will support high precision locating in 64 bit coordinates, which i fear might not be likely... Basically a64 bit precision it allows for a lot more World space but also more precision within it. As you move further away from the 0,0,0 origin, the maths becomes less accurate, leading to precision problems and bugs of all sorts, if the Creation engine is not 64 bit precision then I fear that that could be the reason why we will never see open planets mod ... so the need is of 64-bit coordinates system. Well, its a 64bit app.... how they handle such things though, is anyone's guess. I am still curious if they solved the issues from FO4, where the further you get from Cell 0,0, the flakier things become......

  16. I believe space, and the planetary surface are separate worldspaces.... so, loading screen. I don't think "Open Planets" mod is gonna work. :D
  17. The ASUS dual cards are a single card with a 2 fan design. The 3060 does not have SLI support. LOLOL. Oooops.
  18. Dual 3060's probably wasn't the best choice.... lots of money for the second card, but, very little in the way of performance improvement. Money would have been better spent just getting a single, more powerful card. Could always buy the 4060, or 4070 (ti? :) ) and EBay off the two 3060's....... That said, the 3060 will do fine with skyrim, not sure how it will do with more modern games though.
  19. I'm not interested in your biased, uninformed opinions on climate change/global warming. Why would I waste my time reading what you think about it when I could be reading informed, considered, peer reviewed content that is orders of magnitude more likely to be correct, in comparison to anything you write. The information quotient of anything you write on that topic approximates zero and is of no more consequence than the millions of other people who, like you, fancy themselves as armchair climate scientists and think other people will be interested in what they have to say. I don't have any 'feelings' about your qualifications - what a bizarre thing to write. You don't have any relevant qualifications for me to have feelings about and even if you did I still wouldn't have feelings about them. No we weren't. You brought it up and used the selective attention fallacy to try to dismiss the entire domain by focussing on one specific aspect. That's not talking in generalities. What a limp excuse. There's plenty of space - I've seen some fairly lengthy posts on this forum. Limp excuse no. 2. I think you're scared to post your sources as it would expose how little research you've done about this topic. Congratulations you read a blog. PM me your address and I'll send you your Honorary Climate Scientist badge....I'll even use my special gold crayon for writing your name.... My degree is in Environmental Geoscience. (and math.....) Climate change IS indeed a thing, however, what the climate doomsayers won't tell you is, NOTHING we do here will make any difference whatsoever, so long as there are other countries out there with their ever expanding contribution of greenhouses gases to the atmosphere. Sure, the US is one of the major contributors, (in the top three.) but, so long as the other two (india and china? I think, haven't paid much attention lately) continue on their present course, and reductions we make will be more than compensated for by them. Not to mention the dozen other third world countries that are also expanding..... And then, of course, we have the slogan "Stop Global Warming"..... as if we actually could..... Even if EVERYONE stopped producing CO2 TODAY, the climate is still going to continue on its present course. Warming. Maybe after several decades of zero CO2 output, the climate will revert back to its normal cycles. Maybe..... Now, does that mean we should do nothing? No. We need to take a batter tack than what we ARE doing now though..... Transitioning to electric vehicles before our infrastructure can support them, is a bad move. We already have many places where power generation doesn't exceed demand..... (thus, brownouts/blackouts....) So, lets add a few million electric cars/trucks to the mix. Yeah. That's a great idea..... Or not.
