Evandars Snow Texture Replacer
This is a texture replacer for the snow textures.
I didn't really like the look of the snow so I decided to change it.

1. Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!
2. I have no idea if my textures look like or do not look like Quarls, as I've not seen them. It would take a few days just to download them for me, and my computer would explode if I tried to play the game with them.
3. I am planning on changing the snowflakes too, I will take a look at them soon.
4. I might also edit the normal map a bit, as the snow is pretty shiny right now.

QTP3 Redimized http://www.elricm.co...etails&lid=4210 has a new snowflake texture, which is very good. Not that I wouldn't try a different snowflake texture, but I have yet to find a palepass ice retexture, (subtle hint, wink, smile, beg, grovel).

I've uploaded version 1.1 with awesome new snowflakes!
So you want a Pale Pass ice retex?

Nexusness has given me permission to work on his Northrend Worldspace. I used your terrainsnowstone01.dds to retex the REntranceDementia01.nif and it looks really good. At least it looks great in NifSkope. I'll upload screens when I check it in game. The current texture used on the PalepassIceLayer.nif is PalePassIce04.dds, and it doesn't look good in game. It either tiles badly or looks pixelated, I can't tell which. I think the alpha channel in the normal map could be darkened, that might help (it would certainly take down the glare). So, yes I would love a new PalePassIce texture, if you had something you wanted to share (genuflect, and kiss feet of texture artist).

A thousand Thank U's for the New Pale Pass Ice Texture. The old Bethesda texture was badly pixelated and required sunglasses to view it (glare was horrible). Bethesdas texture was almost opaque and looked more like bad snow than ice.
This "New" texture has no pixelation, and just the right amount of reflection. It also has the perfect amount of transparency, so it actually looks like ice. The striated lines in the ice texture help mask any mesh seams, when trying to place several adjoining meshes.
Absolutely perfect, and much needed, thank you.

Well, thanks for your rating, but maybe you should try it in game before you rate? <img src='http://thenexusforum...DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I use Natural Environments, which has its own *Sky* folder. Do you know if your snowflake will work with that mod? There is no corresponding smowflake.dds in Natural Environments to overwrite with yours.
